I traditionally have a thread heading to the election, here we go.
Get out the popcorn for this one.
QuoteFlorida Gov. Ron DeSantis is expected to formally announce next week he is running for president in 2024, NBC News reported Thursday, citing two sources familiar with the matter.
The governor's official entry into the Republican primary field will put him head-to-head with former President Donald Trump, the party's current frontrunner for the nomination. Trump has already spent months treating DeSantis as his primary campaign rival, thrashing him with torrents of criticism over his gubernatorial record, his political skills and his personality.

Really, why is Trump even in talks with Israel. This is a major diplomatic and international issue but not his lane.
This kind of stuff has happened before, so we have a law which prohibits it called The Logan Act.
QuoteAny citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
Trump seems to have a special relationship with our legal and judicial system, so one shouldn't expect any inquiry or consequences should laws have been broken.
Reporters are often saying things such as "sources say..." and like her "reporting says....". Axios had reported earlier that Trump had been on the phone with him so you wonder if she was talking about this?
Both Trump and Netanyahu are denying this, but like this influencer below is saying, can you trust them? Netanyahu is in the hot seat on corruption charges, and Trump lies frequently. Trump has said he wants Netanyahu to end it quickly, I.e. keep attacking and get a decisive victory without compromise. I wonder if Trump thinks a ceasefire would be a failure or a loss and he doesn't like a loser.
It should be noted however, that it is not Netanyahu that is derailing the current cease fire deal, but Hamas.

The American public and major Democrat donors disagree. And, that's why Biden was turned on and forced out.

None of the right wing extremists can be expected to negotiate in good faith. A feature of right wing extremist ideology is dishonesty.

He broke with tradition and wasn't at the convention for McCain or Romney in 2008 or 2012. He apparently wants to stay out of the political limelight. Obviously he's not supporting Trump but apparently he's living up to a pledge not to criticize other Presidents.

And apparently there's nothing good he could say about Trump in the campaign seasons...

Right. That is expected. It's much easier to accept and repeat the right wing rhetoric about Biden's cognition if one just ignores all of the contradictory evidence.
Correct, the Obama's will show their support tonight. Harris has the distinct benefit of the public support of all 3 living former democratic presidents. Bush doesn't support Trump and scores of Trump's previous administration and cabinet are warning people that Trump is uniquely unfit for office.
