I traditionally have a thread heading to the election, here we go.
Get out the popcorn for this one.
QuoteFlorida Gov. Ron DeSantis is expected to formally announce next week he is running for president in 2024, NBC News reported Thursday, citing two sources familiar with the matter.
The governor's official entry into the Republican primary field will put him head-to-head with former President Donald Trump, the party's current frontrunner for the nomination. Trump has already spent months treating DeSantis as his primary campaign rival, thrashing him with torrents of criticism over his gubernatorial record, his political skills and his personality.

Where and how did Giuliani get involved with the hard-drive?
Why was congress investigating a private citizen? Can you outline how investigating the affairs of a private citizen fits with the legislative function of the House of Representatives? I know that it is a big deal for a president's son to be convicted of crimes and potentially spend time in prison, but it's certainly not as unprecedented as a former president trying to overturn an election and then getting convicted of dozens of felonies.
I mentioned violence around Trump. Try to keep up. Trump inspires violence, the imagery and language of violence swirls around him.
I would agree. When you have democrats on msm calling for the "elimination" of Trump and the POTUS wanting to put Trump in a "bullseye" And suggesting he is Hitler and not to mention sexually explicit giant statue of a naked Trump with his genitals out......... I 100% agree with your last paragraph.

Hahaha
You've circled back to unnamed democrats and a phone call to donors when triggered by the reality that Trump's political rhetoric is oozing with violence and dark imagery.
Yes, Trump inspires the worst in people across the globe. You shouldn't worry too much about the inappropriate and demeaning protest "art" directed at the hateful and angry old despot, you should worry about the people with guns who are agitated, inspired, or motivated by Trump's dark and deeply divisive messaging. Stochastic violence wafts around Trump like a deadly gas. Trump had people in his rally crowd worked up the other day and one guy shouted "kill them" when Trump targeted one of several groups from the podium with his words. That's the Trump effect.

I'm sure a giant naked Harris statue with her breast and genitals hanging by her neck would be considered "art" and not spark outrage.
Left hypocrisy has no end.
Perhaps you can inform me of any radical that has attempted to assassinate anyone Trump has called a mean name. Or a republican that calls for the elimination of Biden. Considering how "unhinged" his supporters are, you would think there would be plenty of examples?
Here is several "unarmed democrats" inciting violence against Trump. I'm sure you'll read it.

Of course it would spark outrage just like it has sparked outrage when unflattering and naked renditions of Trump float around the globe. That's a stupid strawman. You should be more worried about the people whom Trump might inspire to violence.
I can inform you, but I can't make you see the connection when your default position is to defend Trump. Here's a discussion of Trump and stochastic violence from 2020.
QuoteBut a nationwide review conducted by ABC News has identified at least 54 criminal cases where Trump was invoked in direct connection with violent acts, threats of violence or allegations of assault.
QuoteWhen police questioned a Washington state man about his threats to kill a local Syrian-born man, the suspect told police he wanted the victim to "get out of my country," adding, "That's why I like Trump."
Reviewing police reports and court records, ABC News found that in at least 12 cases perpetrators hailed Trump in the midst or immediate aftermath of physically assaulting innocent victims. In another 18 cases, perpetrators cheered or defended Trump while taunting or threatening others. And in another 10 cases, Trump and his rhetoric were cited in court to explain a defendant's violent or threatening behavior.
That doesn't include cases where threats or violence were visited upon people or groups targeted by Trump's rhetoric but Trump wasn't mentioned by the perpetrators or in the charges. I can remind you that a couple hundred of the criminals who violently attacked the Capitol to stop the steal said that Trump incited them to take that action on his behalf.
I can remind you of the time the FBI executed a search warrant on Trump's Florida property and then Trump told a bunch of bombastic and agitating lies about the FBI that really got a veteran all worked up before he acted out that agitation. I cannot make you see or accept the connection.
Yeah, I'm not afraid to read your citations. We talked about those few, weak examples previously. I guess you want to rehash and compare to the words and imagery of Trump and his assault rifle pin wearing politicians again. I'll acknowledge all of those laughable examples and put Trump's image of a hogtied Biden in a pickup on the table right next to "bloodbath" language or Trump's suggestion that his second amendment people might have a solution to a political problem. I'll wait for you to minimize Trump's persistently and increasingly dark and violent violent language, and pretend that there's no violence inspired by his rhetoric... like the events of January 6th.

Since Trump isn't running a campaign to attract moderates and independents one has to wonder kind of people have recently decided that Trump is the better candidate and how they are informing their opinions.

It is encouraging that some of the Trump supporting boaters reportedly tried to run the Swastika flying boat off.
Here's a thought:
Whatever is going on with Trump, it's clear he's deteriorating fast. Frankly, I think that it's unlikely to survive much longer than a couple of years. If he's elected, I doubt that he'd be able to finish his term.
Which would make JD Vance our president.
Ummm ... no.

I bet they will push him aside with the 25th relatively quickly, maybe just months. Trump is clearly not stable.
