Nurses General Nursing

I just have to share, as I have just landed, what I feel is the best position I have EVER been offered!

I have accepted a full time position, at a Mental Health facility here in a rural area of W. Washington! I have been offered not only a totally excellent salary, benefits, tutition reimbursement to start immediately, but free housing, with utilities paid on the 17 acre property with a lake!!! And free meals! Their also going to have an onsite daycare, so I can bring my grandson to work with me!!!!:D

At this point I need somebody to pinch me quick!!! Because I'm having a hard time taking all of this in!:chuckle

oh i'm sorry! I was hoping it would work well for you! But you know in your heart what is best, so i'm sure you did the right thing! I'm anxious to hear the details tho (ok, i'm embarrassed to admit it but i AM):D

Snowy thanks, and if I could tell you about this, I sure would! At present I'm trying to collect pay from this facility, so I will only say this. No more start up facilities for me again!

(((Brownie))) I'm so sorry to hear this blew up! I know how much you were hoping it was as good as it sounded! Call me when you can if you need to vent, when you are able to talk about it!

Hang in there girl - I know there's a place out there that deserves a nurse as good as you!

and you will come out of this OK Brownie, I know! :kiss

Us tough ol' broads have a way of bouncing back good as new. ;)

Thanks bluesky, bagladyrn, and mattsmom:D! Right now I'm more pissed off than anything else! The person who hired me had turned out to be not only a liar, and now is a deadbeat! This person is a former RN, with an expired license in the state of WA, whom I feel should never be able to activate her license again! This person has no clue as to what a professional is, and shouldn't have the responsiblity of caring for anyone ever again!

Brownie, I live in Spokane and was working for an agency. I had a wonderful repeating position at a facility here in town. Of a sudden the state came around and found that the DON was not a registered nurse. Just curious if this is the same one. She really did have a set of brass ones. Scarey, huh?? They got a new manager and all came all right, but you wonder what some people can be thinking!!!!

RNanne, I don't know as she just might have been the same one! She stated she was "retired", but she what she didn't and should've said was she hasn't had an active license since 1998! Now why would you take over a facility, and NOT renew your license???

And YES this one has some big brass ones also! But believe me, she is going to need them:chuckle!

Are you two going to keep the rest of us in suspense? PM each other already then let us now if this is one and the same!

I am babysitting tonight and I need the entertainment!

I am so sorry you had to go through this rollercoaster. My heart aches for your disappointment.

:chuckle breanna, you don't know how bad I would love to give her name, and the name of the facility! But for now, as this has the making of becoming a legal deal, I don't feel I can make either names public. Sorry for the suspense, but this thing has grown over the last few days, and I'm trying to keep it as general as possible. But believe me, my little fingers are itching to tell the whole story!

Wow. Sounded surreal to begin with and obviously it had to be something major for you to change your mind.

**Patiently waiting to hear story** :D

Do you have a place to stay in the meantime? I know you said that you were planning to move into a living space in the community there, no? If not, you're always welcome to stay here with my family here in Maryland- although that might make for a long commute in the mornings... ;)
