I just have to share, as I have just landed, what I feel is the best position I have EVER been offered!

I have accepted a full time position, at a Mental Health facility here in a rural area of W. Washington! I have been offered not only a totally excellent salary, benefits, tutition reimbursement to start immediately, but free housing, with utilities paid on the 17 acre property with a lake!!! And free meals! Their also going to have an onsite daycare, so I can bring my grandson to work with me!!!!:D

At this point I need somebody to pinch me quick!!! Because I'm having a hard time taking all of this in!:chuckle

CONGRADULATIONS!!!!! Now that sounds ideal!!! I am sure you will do very well there. Keep us posted on your first day. I wish all facilities offer daycare it would make our lives so much better.

Awww Thanks peggysue, 3rdShiftGuy, efiebke, RN~in~CT, Shamrock, and Lecia:kiss! I'm sooo excited, that I can hardly wait until tomorrow! This should be an exciting time, as this is the first time, that I will be in on the ground floor of a project!

I can hardly believe it, and just hoping all that has been said, will come to pass! I will have to wait until they get the modular homes set up, but until then I will have a suite at the facility. Right now the schedule is 4 on and 4 off, and 12hr shifts! But I'm the first nurse hired, and I have the option of how I want to have things set up!

They're still in the process of hiring people, getting furniture, equitment, and there will only be a total of 70 residents. I have met the woman who will be our administrator, once she is trained. She is a ARNP, my boss to be, and I liked her from the moment I saw her! She will only be with us for two years, as she is going to open her own facility then. She reeks of knowledge, and has a strong personality, but laid back at the same time, if that makes sense.

Unfortunately I'm not sure of pc availiability until I get settled. So I might not be back on the boards until Friday, which is my first day off.

Yes Shamrock, it's an inside joke from a previous thread:chuckle

Lecia, you can always come back to Washington, and work with me:D. I'll let everyone know how things turn out though, but I like the way the project manager thinks! They're also offering job sharing, and we will have a dog, and a cat for the facility.
