US population estimate 2020: 331,002,651

US Covid-19 mortalities: 135,822

Percentage of population dead due to COVID-19:

0.04%, 4/100ths of 1% of the US population.

On a trajectory to 2.5 million. I guess 140,000 ain't enough ?

But don't worry; I'm sure the economy won't' be impacted /snortle

Or it’s 22x the number of people that died in 911 and Pearl Harbor together.

Or it’s the entire capacity of Fenway Park plus Yankee Stadium plus LA Coliseum.

Or it’s the entire number of ED visits to the Mass General Hospital for an entire year.

Or it’s the entire census of the top 10 hospitals in the country.

Everything is relative.

We've already surpassed our entire loss of life in the world wars. With no end in sight. 150k deaths of people, most of whom near certainly would not be dead if there had been a competent and benevolent federal response to this virus when it surfaced in January instead of a willful misinformation campagin.

LOL, most of those who have died were 70+ and in nursing homes. They weren’t long for this world anyway. Be realistic.

Oh no! 105 deaths out of a population of 39 million!! This is Armageddon in the making!!

We're going the herd immunity route now. If anyone doesn't like it they can quarantine in their bunkers for the rest of their lives, or fly to New York and quarantine there. If you can't wrap your head around the concept of people making their own life choices, then Texas is not for you.

More like the route of a continued misinformation campaign that will ultimately take out 1.5-2.5 million people AND crash the economy. But DtC got to hand out the next two generations SS and Medicare to his big donors, so they'll be just peachy as usual. which I assume is your primary concern per your ongoing message content.

And that is absolute bunk as well as morally bankrupt to laugh even if it were true. Much like in Queens and the Bronx, here in florida the persona is formerly perfectly healthy grandparents living with the family watching the kids so Mom can work who would have been alive for another 10 years if the radical right and their politicians had promoted mask wearing and followed health expert best practice w.r.t reopening.

These are people who fought a world war and sacrificed everything for this country in their youth and the types of people who won't even do something as minimally inconvenient such as wear a mask ... I can't even find words for.

This doctor and his family got the coronavirus when they relaxed rules along with Florida's reopening

Comorbidities: Weekly Updates by Select Demographic and Geographic Characteristics

CDC data doesn’t back up your statement. 6% had no comorbidity, majority of deaths 65+. I laughed at your gross misrepresentation of the situation, not the deaths.

Texas Medical Center 105% hospitalization rate:

Many 40-70 year olds have died in Texas YTD

Hope Texas death rate doesn't get near PA's 6,800 or NY's 32,000 --PA still climbing daily. as our # positive cases now over 94,000

The death rate is collapsing overall because the virus is getting weaker, even with the great increase in cases overall. Looks like Fauci's (overextended) fifteen minutes of fame are up. Time to move on from this Corona nonsense.

Sadly the only "gross misrepresentation" is you now posting a link that has nothing at all to do with your original assertion which was that COVID-19 deaths were largely the 70+ elderly in Skilled Nursing Homes. (try looking up the median age on residents in these institutions some time)

Not only doens't your link support that , but you've now included the death 65+.

PS - no excuses necessary.

So..... China good? Faultless, blameless? It’s easy to armchair preach about how world leaders more qualified than ourselves should do their jobs. It’s much harder to look at the whole picture and be rational about it.

Don't be ridiculous. What does demagoguing on China have to do with the US response being an utter catastrophe? The two most immediate predecessors to DtC both stopped pandemics in their track which did not originate within our borders.

On track to kill less than 1% of the population, the statistical majority in a non-productive age bracket.

You would do well to read things in their original context, vis-à-vis the entire comment chain that post came from.
