Ten years at allnurses, this is about me!

Published

As of this November I will have been coming to allnurses for 10 years. By the way when I first registered it had a different name. I have logged in almost everyday in that time but I have not posted everyday. This leads me to think about the last 10 years and how my life have changed. One of the best things I can say about the changes in my life is that everything and everyone that enriched my life and made me happy in 1998 is still in my life. It also happens that everyone and everything that dragged me down and made me unhappy is out of my life in 2008. I hate to brag about myself but that my friends is a sign of a person that has their act together. And I need to add that I have to give some of the credit for this peace and contentment I feel to allnurses. Coming here and talking to other's about their lives and their problems helped me to chart my course.:heartbeat

:w00t: Every day for 10 Years! You've got most of us beat with that record!

It's so gratifying to learn that you've been coming to AN for so long and at the same time seeing that AN membership is now at 300,000.

I remember running home from school to watch the 4 o'clock movie back in the early 70's, it usually had a theme per week. I remember gidget week, elvis week, jerry lewis and dean martin week. I loved all of those shows. And speaking of allnurses, I loved this website. I am addicted, I read it every day and night, I feel like I am surrounded by people who understand what I go through, and I can speak my mind and have my opinion, and I respect others opinion's even if I do not agree. LOVE THIS SIGHt!!!!!!!

Congrats GG!

My favorite movie is Gidget Goes Hawaiian, sounds kinda silly but I loved that movie from the first time I sat thru it 3 times on a Sat afternoon at the local theater.

The movie also left me with a burning desire to visit Hawaii. Over the years, that desire became a dream. Another dream I had was to have a daughter (all sons), and then a grandaughter (3 grandsons).

Well, shortly after Katrina, both my wishes came true, and on the same day!

I was in Hawaii on the day my first grandaughter was born (came 2 wks early).

Still love the Gidget movies, just ordered the 3 movie DVD from ebay. Still trying to replace some of the things I lost in the flood.

Keep posting and again, Congrats:yeah:

Thoughtful and well written......(I have gained in critical thinking skills just by reading and responding to the the many interesting posts here....)
