Ten years at allnurses, this is about me!

As of this November I will have been coming to allnurses for 10 years. By the way when I first registered it had a different name. I have logged in almost everyday in that time but I have not posted everyday. This leads me to think about the last 10 years and how my life have changed. One of the best things I can say about the changes in my life is that everything and everyone that enriched my life and made me happy in 1998 is still in my life. It also happens that everyone and everything that dragged me down and made me unhappy is out of my life in 2008. I hate to brag about myself but that my friends is a sign of a person that has their act together. And I need to add that I have to give some of the credit for this peace and contentment I feel to allnurses. Coming here and talking to other's about their lives and their problems helped me to chart my course.:heartbeat

it occurs to me that a lot of younger people might not know who gidget happens to be. gidget was my generations hannah montana. in otherwords she was created by the movie industry specifically to be marketed to preteen girls. she was based on a popular book that was marketed to preteen girls. there were several movies about her, the first in 1959(i was 11) and and two more in the early '60s. there was also a tv show about her in mid '65. several actressess played her, sandra dee being the first. deborah wally played her in the second movie and cindy carol in the third. sally field played her in the tv series. i heard there were a couple of other very low budget movies that featured her in the '70but i never saw them, by then her fans had out grown her i imagine and the whole deal was over. i remember being 11 and seeing her and saying to myself, "that is who i want to be" lol i remember she was almost fatally perky and positive and she ran about the beach with a surf board"" omg i thought that was the coolest thing in the world. so when i call myself granny gidget that would be like the 12 year old down the street calling her self "granny montana" in 50 years.:D

It's so gratifying to learn that you've been coming to AN for so long and at the same time seeing that AN membership is now at 300,000.
