Tarrant County Fall 2011 Applicants

Published

Hello,

I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.

I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.

I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.

I am so excited about all this news!! Please let me know as soon as possible when the letters start hitting! My mailman doesn't come till FOUR UGH

My husband and I went to the movies yesterday and then decided to go downtown to the Trinity River campus. O-M-G! It is AMAZINGGGGGG! The buildings are gorgeous and everything is so clean. There is a lot of technology there...tons of computers and televisions everywhere. The cafe is SO NICE. The fitness center is pretty awesome as well. They have really great equipment. Hopefully we will all be going to school there. I am actually more excited about starting Nursing school at TCC now than I was about starting school at UT Austin lol.

and THAT is WHY I will be so jealous of you all!

The TR campus is gorgeous! I took A&P II there last summer, and I was blown away with how awesome everything was.

Is the new building finished yet? It sits about 3 blocks east of the Radio Shack building/TR campus. I belive that is the one that the Nursing Program will be located in.

The Dreamer. Yes the Nursing building will be the one that is a few blocks away. It was is the building that was to be the original TR campus before they bought Tandy. I heard it was beautiful inside. Only down side is that the gym and cafe are at the other campus and from what the professors are saying is that parking is not that great either. Lots to be worked out it seems. All that aside the new facilities and skills lab should make up for that. I am so jealous as I did all my skills on the old falling apart stuff.

If it makes you feel better txmommy, we are jealous because you are GRADUATING. :)

Well, because I only went to the Trinity River campus last night, my husband took me out to the Trinity River East campus this evening. You can't walk around or anything yet because it is all still roped off, but it looks really nice. The parking lot looks really small for the number of people that will be there, so I'm not sure what they are doing about that. However, it looked like there was a parking garage across the street sorta. I wonder if maybe that will be used for TCC students as well? The views from the back of the building will be awesome!

I realized today that we could only be a week away.. If not like 2 1/2 weeks!!! Wow!! It's actually really scary!!

Does anyone know the address of the new building? I want to check it out next time im in the area.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Our wait is almost over.

I don't know the address, but I believe it is on the corner of Commerce and Weatherford. It's close to the TRC and the courthouse. Cement buildings with blue-ish windows on the same side of the street as the river and TRC. Hope that helps. I have not seen an address for the buildings.

I'm really hoping I get in. I got in at WC, but am really hoping I can go to school in Fort Worth as it is such a short drive and the cost will be less.

Been waiting SIX weeks now, and from Loly's research, two out of four years, people began getting letters on April 12th if my memory serves me right. It's getting close!

April 12th sounds good to me.
