tall nursing scrubs

Nurses Uniform/Gear

Published

I'm tall, 5'11". Can anyone recommend female nursing scrubs tall enough for me? I know I probably have to special order them online. Just inquiring if anyone has suggestions or experience concerning this matter.

Thank you!

I'm 5'11" as well and I wear Landau scrub pants in the tall length.

5'9" here, and I wear the Cherokee flare leg pants in tall.

I'm 5"10, and bought some Iguana scrubs in normal length and they fit great. My friend who is 5"10 just bought Cherokee in the tall length and they fit her great as well. It's such a pain...

Urbane's scrub pants run taller than most, AND on the above website, they offer a "super tall" which comes in a 37" inseam. You can have them hemmed for you on the site or get it done yourself.

I'm 6'0" and I've bought probably 8 pairs of scrub pants from them (34.5" inseam, lol) and I've yet to be disappointed. :)

I'm 5'11", also. My favorite scrub pants are Landau and Cherokee. I always order my uniforms. I mostly use Tafford, Lydias, UA (Uniform Advantage), and Allheart. Which ever one is having a sale!

One of the local uniform stores had to the nerve to tell me I didn't need tall pants and that I should buy a size bigger so they would hang lower (trying to make a sale). Yeah right. The crotch of the pants hangs low and theres a lot of friction. LOL Pushing a med cart I almost lost my pants. So..never a gain.

I'm 6' and I wear cherokee tall exclusively. You have to be careful with some brands, as even their tall only has a 32" inseam - I need the 34s.

I'd suggest trying Tafford.com if you haven't already. I'm 5'9" and my inseam is 32". I can wear the "regular" inseam from "Tafford", however, I once ordered a pair of tall scrub pants from them, but they turned out to be to long for me. The inseam was 34".

"Tafford" offers terrific deals on quality scrubs, shoes and accessories. They also have an easy exchange and return policy.

Good luck!

They are pricey, but you won't look like Urkel anymore! :jester:

Not a fan of Cherokee. I'm 5'8, but with crazy long legs, so I need talls...the XS is too short and too large for me. I'm hoping Urbane scrubs will be better, as the inseam is a bit longer. Being ill-proportioned is no fun!

Tafford discontinued Royal Blue basic drawstring scrub in the XS Tall. Great--just when more nurses nationally are going with Royal for the unified color. I've worn them for years, but they do shrink to a 32" after several washings.

Elastic waists and Cargos make even slender people look fat--I want the versatility of the drawstring, and tuck in my top.

I'm 6' tall and my measurement from my (ahem) "top of leg" to floor is 36" so a 34-35" inseam is the best on me.

I am nervous about trying the Urbane--they seem to run smaller and are flared?? Anyone try them? Urbane site says their talls are 34" but other sites say 32.5"--well...that's a big difference. Which is it--can someone measure theirs and post?

Cherokees are always too short--had to give those away after one washing. They do make a 36" Ultra Tall, but sigh, it is the elastic waist. http://www.scrubshopper.com/products/2031-utility-pant-ultra-tall

Pulse Uniform makes custom scrubs (at triple the price). http://www.pulseuniform.com/custom-medical-uniforms.asp

Keep putting up links when you find really tall pants, and post the actual inseam of your pants after washing.

Try Sassy Scrubs (sassyscrubs.com). They will customize everything they offer. You can add as many inches as you need, plus they will make scrubs with your own fabric, or you can choose one of theirs! I love that place. The quality is very good.
