If he wanted to finish his senior year playing baseball the suggestion about immunizing him now would be the answer....
And I'm a little deficient in the New Testament. Can someone point me to someplace where it says no vaccines? Because in the Torah I can't point to anything that says no shots. No pork, no shellfish, but shots are OK.

I just took this directly from the Kentucky immunization website. Once again, you signed form in front of notary agreeing to the terms outlined!!!!
Due to my religious beliefs, I object to my child receiving the required immunizations selected above. I am aware that if I change my mind, I can rescind this objection and obtain immunizations for my child. Initials ______________ Additional information about vaccine preventable diseases, immunizations and reduced or no cost immunization services is available from the local health department in each county. To be completed by Notary Public In the event that the county health department or state health department declares an outbreak of a vaccine-preventable disease for which proof of immunity for a child cannot be provided, he or she may not be allowed to attend childcare or school for up to three (3) weeks, or until the risk period ends. STATE OF ) COUNTY OF ) Subscribed, sworn to or affirmed under oath and acknowledged before me, a Notary Public in and for the state and county aforesaid by ________________________, on this the __________ day of _____________________, 20_______. This. I'm tired of people acting like they didn't see it coming. Read the contract, ask questions, take notes, and THEN sign the form.

I remember reading up on immunizations and religion a year or so ago with another case. The Catholic Church does not technically ban vaccines that are derived from aborted fetuses (Varivax is one of them), because it believes that keeping the population safe from communicable disease is more important. Of course, if individual Catholics want to interpret things differently, I guess they can, but then refer to the first half of my post: Read. Before. You. Sign.

His argument isn't even valid! He's worried about not being able to finish his basketball season. They canceled everything!! And even the Catholic Church came out in support of vaccines, so that argument is bunk, too!
I love when someone says they "don't believe" in something to suit their agenda. I'm going to stop believing in fat & calories & see if I lose weight...

I am SO tired of people not reading anything and then throwing a hissy. Silly example, but on my DD's competitive cheer team, we ALL sat through a parent meeting back in June after the team was formed. We were given a contract to READ and sign and hand back to the three coaches and the owner of the gym. One of the stipulations was only two EXCUSED absences allowed during the season, no exceptions. This is for many reasons, one of which is safety. If the girls aren't at practice to learn how to do things safely, accidents happen. Every parent at that meeting was given time to read through, ask questions prior to signing, and and sign. Now there are two girls who have missed more than two practices and the coaches are having to deal with removing them from the team, three weeks before a huge competition. It sucks for everyone, but the two moms are losing their minds acting like they are overreacting and no one told them, blah blah blah. Coaches keep reminding them about the contract that they SIGNED in person after READING and they are still arguing about it, saying they didn't know?!

If he wants to become immune he'll have to do it the old fashioned way; go give a big hug to someone with chicken pox.
He sounds entitled about his baseball season.

aborted fetuses...got it. ?
This is really interesting. In a nutshell, even the Vatican ultimately accepts vaccines if it is to protect the health of the child and community:

I really wish anti vaxers would have to sit through at least an hour long class before they were even provided the exemption form!!!

Then, they should encourage birth control to protect a hungry, poverty-stricken community by the same argument!
