I really wish anti vaxers would have to sit through at least an hour long class before they were even provided the exemption form!!!

In the state of FL when someone does an exemption form we have to go over the form with them and then have them sign it. Easily could be done in 2 minutes. I used to drag it out to 10-15 minutes and people still signed and didn't care.

Those who have their mind made up will not change it because of a class.

How can they sue the district? Isn't this a Dept of Health requirement to exclude in times of outbreak?

*ETA Nvm, I see he is suing the health dept* HA Good luck with that.
There's so many articles about lawsuits, it has my head spinning.

It was basketball and not baseball (not that it matters) and the actual article has the following info.

"The chickenpox vaccine is not derived from aborted fetuses. There are a number of vaccines made in descendent cells of aborted fetuses dating back several decades, according to the National Catholic Bioethics Center.

“Since that time the cell lines have grown independently. It is important to note that descendent cells are not the cells of the aborted child. They never, themselves, formed a part of the victim’s body,” according to the National Catholic Bioethics Center."

He should just go live with our idiot governor and become immune the old fashioned way. I can't make this up y'all.

I think that the Religious Exemption forms are too loose. Just having it notarized should not be enough. I think that the exemtion should also be accompanied by something from the place of worship on their letterhead, stating that their practices do not permit immunizations.

I have seen our form used for exuses like, "Johnny is afraid of needles, so I'm just going to use that form so he doesn't have to get the shot., Suze has had had that immunization, I just know it, I don't want her to get it again, so I'm claiming the religious exemption." Just a thought.....
