Just wanted to know if nursing is going to take up all my time. I occasionally like to play video games and so far I've gone through a semester in the nursing program while playing video games. Next semester I will be taking 4 nurses courses, in which 1 is a clinical course. Will I still have time for video games? PS: No, I dont have a girlfriend. Would I like one? Yes
I play video games on occasion when I feel I have the time or I want to unwind from the day. You have to find some way to relieve the stress of school and playing games is a healthy outlet. If you find that you're playing too much and your grades are failing then you have a problem but until then play away.
Currently I'm playing Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare and before that it was Dead Island. I guess killing zombies is my therapy.
All weekend? Probably not. 1-3 hours per week? Probably yes. You make time for the most important things to you.Yea, I think it is. While it does come off as immature to 'worry' about such a thing as a video game, it is important to him.
I don't think it's an immature thing to like to do. There are a lot of adults that like to play video games, just like there are adults that like to watch movies...or garden...or cook. It doesn't make it any less mature. It's just a hobby. Everybody has their hobbies they like. Just sayin'. (:
I think there is a stereotype to "gamers" that the media has done oh so well to portray to other people.

Well a thread concerned solely with the idea that nursing school (a path to a career) might interfere with gaming certainly doesn't help any stereotypes out there.

I didn't take it that way. He seems like he's willing to give up video games if required, but was asking the opinion of people who've already gone through it whether he would have any extra time for his hobby. To me, it just seems like he wants to be prepared for what's to come for him.
