I think I'm done answering student nurse help me threads here.
I've gotten rude answers, or they never even bother coming back to the thread to acknowledge the answers they received.
Some will ask life choice questions like "Where should I move?" or "Where should I apply?". Do they think someone is going to offer them a job here, is that why they start these threads? You have the whole internet to research towns, cities, regions, but instead you post a thread asking a bunch of strangers where you should move?
Some help me threads seem to be 'Help me do my homework' threads.
Sarahrnay with long dark hair, thin, looks petite, kinda pretty, works med/surg on a unit with 1:6 ratio where the charge has only one more year of experience and doesn't take patients. Describing a situation on a patient where the patient was going south and asked for help when just off orientation. Characterizes response from charge as snarky, rude, unprofessional, and inappropriate. Somewhere here encouraged the charge to get off her lazy ass (I think). Ok, Sarahrnay. I can't even count how many colleagues I've figured out on this board... For some, my opinion of them has changed from what they've written. Very sad.
I hear ya! I found a new grad I was supposed to be evaluating on this board, the night before her evaluation was due. Kinda gave me some new insight into the problems we'd been having with her and how they weren't going to go away.
And someone has been reading "The Mockery of Nursing Thread!"

I finished grad school 3 1/2 years ago. Still have an occasional dream that there was one course I didn't actually complete.
