Stony Brook BSN - Summer/Fall 2011 Applicants

ok, it's never too early to start a thread about applying for 2011 ... ... which i am most definitely doing even though i am still waitlisted for 2010. i just won't be able to attend this year if i get in ...

but that's ok! i'll be done with all my prereqs and have time to write a better application (if in fact that is at all possible, you know?).

anyone else applying to stony brook for summer 2011?

Well, what I meant about "split" is that people who don't get in stop posting, disappear from the thread and others who get in create a new thread or go to Facebook and this one just falls into the abyss of dead threads! I created this thread, sometimes I think it's my baby, LMAO!

Ugh, I don't know what to think about SOLAR now. Like I said, I am just gonna wait until the first scream to be uttered on here and then I will start my checking! Incessant SOLAR checking is exhausting!!

Okay, now I understand better, because I have really had a hard time with MGH thread, and I was wondering why the silence on this thread. But all the same your thread is the most interactive so far, and Its the reason why I kept coming back because everyone here to me works together like one family. I can imagine how much fun you guys would have at SBU, when you all meet in class. To me SBU thread, created by you is the best thread on this site so far so good, and reason being that you kept it going with your sense of humor. As per solar, I guess we would know whats going on in the next 12 to 13hrs.

ughhh more waiting!! terrible! i dont know if i can wait another whole month..lets try to be optimistic and interpret the message as: decisions are expected to sent through solar soon (hopefully tomorrow) and thennn you'll receive an additional notification by mail up until the end of february .. i like that better

ill be up at 630am tomorrow morning checking solar on my laptop in the dark like an addict

kristenann110- I got that same email today! I don't really understand it though...when we applied we had to send separate documents for each program so why do they need anything from my other file? I guess looking at the bright side, at least we know someone is looking our applications over!

its been a while since i been here ( actually thats a lie lol i stalk the page pretty often like a ninja :sofahider ) work + school has been alot, but after reading this i couldnt help but yell LATE FEB?!? this waiting game sucks.. im actually good about checking solar.. i check this thread in order to see if anyone's change yet then ill be crazy solar checking every day. SBU would be the 1st school i would be notified if i got in or not.. the other schools their deadline is at march ( one is even at may ) so .. i prob wont be hearing from any schools anytime soon. =((( how can i keep myself busy?!?!

On other random news.. can someone please make it stop snowing? lol im getting tired of cleaning my car

Just figured everyone should be getting this email....but stony just send out this email to me...

"Due to the exceptional amount of applications received by the School of Nursing, it is now estimated that decisions will be processed for the Accelerated program by late February. Decisions will be sent through SOLAR and by mail. We appreciate your patience during our admissions process; thank you."

so i'm guessing we wont be hearing anything until late feb...

Just got that email also. Unbelievable!!!!!!

I rest my case on SBU finally, I guess I will have to go ahead and make my $500 deposit to MGH, as the deadline is Jan 28th. I wish everyone good luck in advance.
