Soooo it says this on the SOLAR homepage....

NOTICE: Due to system maintenance, the SOLAR System and PeopleSoft System will be unavailable starting at 5:00PM on Friday, January 21st. Systems are expected to be available by 5:00PM on Saturday, January 22nd. We apologize for this inconvenience.

No SOLAR checking for a whole 24hrs!!...Painful.

Hi Bern69...that girl was me lol My boss (not to my objection however) decided to go down there and figure out for himself what was taking so long when I was an intern there this past fall. Hes an associate director of nursing and actually worked for the dean of the nursing school, to all that get in shes absolutely incredible and I LOVED working for her and my boss. They told him that I would have to wait until Jan 21st like everyone else. I wouldnt have forgotten that date if i had gotten into a car accident and lost all memory, of this I am sure. lol I am hoping we see some changes on SOLAR because although I live extremely close to the school the time expectancy starting as "early January" for an online notification is now nearing the end with no hint of an answer! Goodluck to everyone and I will be sure to post on here if i hear of anything!! I dont check often but once a day the past week has been killing me!

I received this email today btw!

Hello,

We have requested your Accelerated (1 year) program application file from the School of Nursing. However, your file is still under review. Once the file is returned to the Office of Student Services, we will make any necessary copies of received transcripts from your 1 year application, and add them to your Basic Baccalaureate (2 year) application. We will contact you in approximately two weeks should any further transcripts be needed for your 2 year application. Thank you.

i think that just means that they are trying to get your 2 year application ready for review also...just in case...i dont think you should be worried...at least thats what my interpretation of the email is...

so jan 21st eh?? thats tomorrow!!! does that mean we should start hearing things soon?!

If you ask me, it's a good sign that things are happening! :) That's how I am going to see it!

However, out of curiosity I went to the SOLAR page (did NOT log in ) and I don't see that system maintenance msg :confused: ... oh, you're such a liar!

Just received this email, can anyone make a sense of it. Decisions are now expected to be sent through SOLAR and by mail in late February. You will receive more formal notification of this new, yet still approximate, decision date in an additional email. Thank you.

Does it say whether this is for the 1 year or 2 year application?

Well does that mean the staffs are gonna change SOLAR with decisions? or they cant even go in and change things? I kinda feel like the whole system is gonna be down since they said PeopleSoft system will be down... so we have to wait until 22nd now? i cant i cant i cant i cant wait any longerr....
