Stony Brook BSN - Summer/Fall 2011 Applicants

ok, it's never too early to start a thread about applying for 2011 ... :D ... which i am most definitely doing even though i am still waitlisted for 2010. i just won't be able to attend this year if i get in ... :(

but that's ok! i'll be done with all my prereqs and have time to write a better application (if in fact that is at all possible, you know?).

anyone else applying to stony brook for summer 2011?

Does it say whether this is for the 1 year or 2 year application?

Its for the ABSN (1year program)

ahhhh how come you guys are getting emails and im not? I applied to both 1 yr and 2 yr programs too... :crying2: "Decisions are now expected to be sent through SOLAR and by mail in late February." jeez... Feb now...? 10 more days... i dunno if i will be able to survive...

I'm not getting any emails either. I also applied to both the 1 year and the 2 year. This waiting is painful. I hope we all get in. :)

Actually I sent an email today, asking when would the admissions committee let us know their decisions, and that was the reply I got from them.

Notice it says "new, yet still approximate, decision date" .. something must have happened.

Oh well, that just means more time with my thread friends! :D Just think: once decisions come out, the thread's gonna split people up! :(

Yes you are very correct, threads split once decision is out and it becomes very difficult to get any information by then. I have seen such problem with some threads now. So you think from that email they sent, solar wont change until Feb or what.

Yes you are very correct, threads split once decision is out and it becomes very difficult to get any information by then. I have seen such problem with some threads now. So you think from that email they sent, solar wont change until Feb or what.

Well, what I meant about "split" is that people who don't get in stop posting, disappear from the thread and others who get in create a new thread or go to Facebook and this one just falls into the abyss of dead threads! I created this thread, sometimes I think it's my baby, LMAO! :o

Ugh, I don't know what to think about SOLAR now. Like I said, I am just gonna wait until the first scream to be uttered on here and then I will start my checking! Incessant SOLAR checking is exhausting!!

This makes me think that tomorrow, instead of getting a decision,we will all get an email saying we need to wait another month...:uhoh3:

Hey Yall!!! I'm still here waiting also. I hope we hear something soon like everyone else I am dying over here waiting to hear anything even a little chirp. Well at least the month has gone by fast so far. I hope all is well with everyone. The weekend is almost here!!!!!!! :yelclap: So since Paco seems to promote it I'm gonna have a glass of wine! To be quite honest with you, I really didn't get the gist of the mail was the reason I posted it. Well lets just keep our fingers crossed 2night, and see what the solar game would be 2morow.
