Stony Brook BSN - Summer/Fall 2011 Applicants

ok, it's never too early to start a thread about applying for 2011 ... ... which i am most definitely doing even though i am still waitlisted for 2010. i just won't be able to attend this year if i get in ...

but that's ok! i'll be done with all my prereqs and have time to write a better application (if in fact that is at all possible, you know?).

anyone else applying to stony brook for summer 2011?

omg Paco! i totally have the "what am I gonna do if I don't get in" syndrome!! i did apply to many other schools... but i keep thinking what if i dont get into any of these schools.... which is gonna be horrible... and they havent received my official transcripts with my grades for this past semester yet!! im like freakin out!!! and the earliest i can get them is friday and then im gonna go hand them in in person! omgg good luck everyone!!

I have to admit I have checked SOLAR a couple of times already in hopes to see something, ANYTHING. But nothing yet...

This is the only program I have applied to also, so the stress is definitely rising. The holidays helped get through the past month, but now I feel like I am just waiting...

what is the next deadline for Accelerated BSN at stony brook? and for what semester start? the stony brook website isnt updated, it still says 2010.

Or is it rolling admissions, like i can apply at any time?

Next one I suppose is for Summer 2012, that deadline will be Nov 2011. The application however is never available until September 1st. They do not have rolling admissions at all.

Ok so even tho I was already accepted somewhere else, I REALLY want to go to stonybrook...and it makes me mad that I didn't apply to the 2yr. I know I can't change that now but I feel I will be saying "what it...?" about a billion times if I don't get in. I think it will be worse if I am waitlisted instead of just denied bc then I will have to decide whether to wait and chance it or accept admission somewhere else....and I am on break from school so I have absolutely nothing to do but think about these things lol

dr3amygirl- every now and then i get a moment of "what am i gonna do if i dont get in" syndrome too, but I refuse to be stressing what I have no control over 24/7. Don't do it dr3amy!:) . I applied for the 1 year and the 2 year and this is the only school I really want to go to. I have one more school I might apply to if stonybrook falls through. Good Luck everyone!!!

I spoke with someone in the admissions office today, they said letters wouldn't go out until February. Sorry to add more confusing information to this thread. Hopefully, solar will be updated sooner. This is making me crazy.
