  1. Do this! Try it before you buy it! Of course all work environments will be different, but at least you will experience with your own senses what it may be like! In fact, do this for any other fields of work that you want to explore. Then, take the classes you need that lead up to your goal. I wish I had taken the time to do this, I would have been so much more focused and motivated in school. Best of luck to you, follow your dreams!
  2. "Tolerance develops rapidly...."
  3. When I was applying to school, I wanted to get a head start on the material too, just to stay motivated! What I ended up doing was asking current students what textbook they used for nursing fundamentals and ordered a used version online. Fundamentals of Nursing will be one of the first classes you take at any program. I recommend a used version because you never know if the school you are going to will soon be switching to a new edition, plus the "old" content will still be relevant. Good luck to you and stay positive!
  4. I filled in my name with my chat handle name, and left the email address blank. It counted my vote anyways!
  5. Yep, I keep checking AN for news from other students. I started patho and pharm online so it's keeping me busy. You're not the only one!
  6. Congrats!! I wasn't there. I am in Northern California and I had work the following day, I just didn't have enough advanced notice. I could have planned for it if I had known we could attend. I'm swamped in work and school too! So happy for you!
  7. I got called and was offered admission. I just picked up my packet today. See you guys at orientation!
  8. Congrats to you too, Bizaleth! Could you share the information on the book list for those of us who are alternates? I'm trying to stay positive and motivated!
  9. i am an alternate, but the email didnt say what number!? congrats chloemay09!
  10. Ah, you're right. I just reread my paperwork, so it looks like we don't get to attend unless there are more changes in the list this month. So close!
  11. if we are on the waitlist should we plan on attending the orientation in May?
  12. Good to know, thanks Bristowa for responding!
  13. Hello! I got an email about a week ago asking if I wanted to forward my application to this program. I of course said yes! Does anyone know around what time we should expect to be hearing from them? April ish?
  14. I appreciate your optimism, lolliloo! And I'm right there with you, ms. chia. Hoping it all works out!
  15. I'm #10. I'm hoping it's my new lucky number
