Stony Brook BSN - Summer/Fall 2011 Applicants

ok, it's never too early to start a thread about applying for 2011 ... ... which i am most definitely doing even though i am still waitlisted for 2010. i just won't be able to attend this year if i get in ...

but that's ok! i'll be done with all my prereqs and have time to write a better application (if in fact that is at all possible, you know?).

anyone else applying to stony brook for summer 2011?

hey guys! i just got an e-mail from stony brook saying that they should "complete their work" by jan 21st.... at least we can rest sort of comfortably knowing that our applications will be processed by that time and maybe we can even hear back before that , or not :smackingf

What's meant to be will happen, don't be distraught! My being waitlisted last year for me was a sign that it was not the right time but not to lose hope. What is yours will come to you!

I just applied to the stony 2-yr!! and other schools as well... and I need to take exams... I just realized how much money I need to spend before starting nursing... lol well let's wish for the best and hopefully we all get the good news soon!! =D

Hey guys hope everyone had a good holiday! We got about a foot of snow yesterday!

I'm starting to go a little crazy with this waiting! Every day I feel a little less hopeful that I will get in...anyway, I did really well in school this semester and I am wondering if I should send in my transcripts when they are updated (which won't be til like the 5th) Do you think its too late for that? I guess it couldn't hurt.

cas89: you should send in your official transcript with the grades for this semester to them ASAP. I was taking microbio this semester too and I talked to the lady at the school of nursing she told me to send it when the grades are up. You're not alone!! we are all waiting here with you :)

Did I not say forget about this waiting/worrying nonsense until January?!? Stressing over it is not going to make it happen any faster. And don't give me the "But I can't help it" soliloquy. Find the time to learn skeet shooting or something .. better yet, go skiing ... there's enough snow for it!

hey guys, am new to this post, trying to figure out how to join the thread. I also applied to SBU, and other schools. Got acceptance letter into Quinnipiac university(CT), does anyone know about the school. Its a private school and very expensive, so am yet to send them the $250 deposit, while still awaiting SBU decision. can anyone advice me on what to do regarding this deposit,because its non refundable, and they want it postmarked not later tha Jan 10th.

Also, each time I log onto my solar, and I click on view application status, it kept showing "please submit any documents below that are not listed as having been received". But all document have been submitted, so is anyone having similar thing showing up.
