Stephen King Readers Thread

Published

So a recent thread got me thinking (which is never a good thing) It appears we have number of Stephen King Readers. I suggest we do a nursing DX for our favorite King Character!

BTW if you liked The Shining (Book not movie) you are going to love Dr. Sleep

I've also never read some of his better known ones. Methinks that with Halloween coming up, it would be a good idea for me to stop by the library. :) Salem's Lot might be appropriate...

Does this mean if I drop in and start asking questions about the Mighty Farawyn nobody's gonna know nothin'?? Awesome. 👍

Hahahaha

Billy Joel

Don't think a remake of The Stand could be better than the first! It's my all time favorite movie (mini series). Love Mother Abigail!

I have to admit. I kind of miss those made for TV movies and miniseries. Thinking about "IT" still conjures creepy images after more than 20 years.

Ha ha . . .namedropper!

(Clint Eastwood, Meryl Haggard).

(Oh and one of the members of CCR used to live here and his wife had a little curio shop downtown; David Gates from Bread lived here for years and owned a ranch; some of the bigwigs involved in start up of FB bought land up here too. Mr. Hanna from Hanna/Barbara and his wife bought a ranch here. She and my mom were good friends).

Etc. :whistling:

Awesome thread idea Hppy! I love Stephen King, have read everything he's written. Hard to pick a favorite, but I think that Salem's Lot is pretty scary... A real vampire story, unlike these (forgive me) teeny bop romance vampires. And I can't wait for his new book of short stories coming in November!!!

Speaking of The Talisman, the sequel "Black House" was amazing too!

Oh yeah, don't even get me started on those books. I was amazed at how many women in their 20-30's love "teeny bop romance vampires".

I forced myself to read the first one to see what all the hoopla was about.

By the time I finished, my brains were leaking out of my ears, my eyes were bleeding and my IQ had dropped 30 points.

A friend of mine who is an editor, used the hyperbolic example of "Edward frowned, sadly" to describe to a friend just how terrible it is.
