Spring 2011 UT Health Sciences Nursing Hopefuls

Published

I am a UT Houston hopeful applying for the traditional and accelerated nursing program. I will complete my science prereqs (A&P 1/2) in the summer. I will finish up with Micro and Chem in the fall. I am so focused right now. Anyone else out there? :)

Does anyone know by what order of applicants they send out interviews? Do you think it has to do with GPA/how qualified you are?

sorry, didn't think of it that way. I thought I was helping, if anyone knows how to delete posts I will delete my post.

I deleted your post.

I also edited a few other posts with interview questions. All of you need to be careful what you post on the public forum as you never know who may be reading. It really is not a good idea to post interview questions as it does give some an unfair advantage. Think of it as the same as revealing test questions and answers to someone who has to take the same test you already took.

@tnbutterfly - Thank you so much!! I will be more careful in the future. :yeah:

You are welcome.

Hi again everyone! I was with the 9/16 8am group yesterday.

It's really hard to tell how my interview went. The questions were very simple but my nervousness got the best of me and it showed with my "uhhhs and ummms." I hope that didn't affect my chances. I feel that I answered well and as honest as I could but I couldn't get my words out as articulate as I could have. Just breathe and the rest of you will be fine. Overall I think my interview day went well but could have been better.

...and so the wait begins...

I feel EXACTLY the same as you!!! I try to keep telling myself that it wasn't as bad as I thought and that I'm being hard on myself, but I can't stop replaying it in my mind.

Oh well, can't change anything now....hope and pray...that's all we can do at this point...

i actually answered the wrong answer to one of the questions for the interview... i probably sounded really ignorant...

does anyone know how much the interview counts for the acceptance process?

to be honest I would assume it would be a big deal. You hear about people with a high gpa not being accept but people with as low as a 3.0 entering the program due to their history and interview. I am sure that one question you answered incorrectly could not have been that bad

well it was when she told me to explain a situation of some feeling... *not sure if i can say here, because i dont want to give an advantage to people who havent went yet...*

while i was doing the interview, she was really nice. she didnt tell me i was wrong, but then i looked up the word and found out that i had actually confused it with another word during my interview...

im just hoping 1 wrong answer wont be too much harm... I feel like the questionaires went well. and the interview, in general, went well...

I have to agree with the feeling. Either we feel like we didn't get to say what we wanted...or said something we didn't want...LOL...either way there is no turning back. We had ourselves all worked up for the "interview" and then have 15-20 mins to express our thoughts...

I don't think we have any posters show up with an October interview date?!?! I still can't believe how much longer we have to wait...

I had my interview on Sep 15 at 8:00am. I had some trouble with the computer skills questionnaire, and I answered the interview questions honestly, but wish I would have said more just as some of you do! My interviewer was very nice and calm which helped me calm down a little bit, but I am only as certain about being accepted as all of you are:confused:

Do you guys know how many people they are interviewing?
