Everyone, Hello,
This thread is created for anyone who is applying for a 2011 Nursing School Program! We can await our fates together. I think that waiting is going to be the hardest part! I am applying to a Community College for an ADN RN program. Applications are due Sept. 20th and we should know by early Novemeber!! My school just told me that they may also consider a math class that I took (with a higher grade) over College Algebra, which would significantly raise my GPA! I am hopeful!! Where is everyone else applying and when will you potentially find out?!
askim--Your school sounds very similar to mine!! We have a sept. 20th application due date and they told us we should find out sometime in November too! Our school is similar in the aspect that they wont count the class if you have not completed it by the time the applications are due. Which stinks because I am taking Micro and Micro Lab in the fall . Our school is also done a point system! I wish good luck to you!!
slchAL-I think you should apply for summer! If you don't get in for summer, you can always apply to the Spring right?? Go For it !!
Welcome to everyone.
Can anyone tell me what kind of math is on the HESI A2?
Got a B in Microbiology so that puts me at a 3.5 gpa. Thats stands a pretty good chance but not great so I need to do good on the HESI. AHHHHHHH!!!!!
I ended up failing College Algebra this semester so If I dont get into SJRCC for spring, Ill retake Algebra and apply to FSC in the summer.
Hey everyone! I am also a Spring 2011 hopeful! I'm planning to apply to Sac State's BSN program. They admit students based on GPA, TEAS, & optional criteria. I'm so nervous & anxious even though I haven't applied yet! Apps are available Sept-October & acceptance letters are mailed around November. This is my first choice so hopefully things will work out well. If not, sac city, arc, solano, cabrillo, and napa are my back up schools. Good luck to everyone!
Is there anyone else applying for sac states program?
HeatherNichole, I think it depends on the program and how competitive it is. The program I am hoping to get in only takes 88 a semester. According to the nursing department there are 500-600 a semester that apply. I don't think it matters what semester it is if you are trying to get in with those odds. I'm actually excited about starting (possibly) in the spring. After the first semester I'll have a few months to recoup, lol.
I know at IvyTech in Indiana there are usually less applicants in the spring, but they're getting rid of a few nursing programs at other campuses so i don't think it will be down that much. I'm also applying for the nursing program spring 2011! At IvyTech Indy-Lawrence :) I have 214-223 points. I actually mailed my application today. the deadline is sept 1st and the acceptance/denial letters are sent out on sept 30th! So the countdown begins.... Good luck to everyone!
Hi everyone!! My first time using this!! I applied to TCC as well. I got in to the school and now I have to take the HESI and hopefully be a upcoming student for Fall 2011. I am going to buy the evolve reach admissions assesment. Is that an ok book to buy? Wish everyone the best of luck!! =]

Hello Everyone,
I am excited too. I applied to a Community College for an ADN RN program. Applications are due Sept. 9 th and we will be informed by early Novemeber:rolleyes: I took the NLN yesterday. I got AD- 92% and I have a really high GPA. My school uses "Points System"( The NLN score and grades of pre req courses) Only thing is that I am going to take my last pre reqs in Fall, so I am missing points for Microbiology, Microbiology L, A&P 2, and A&P 2 L. There are more than 300 applicants and they only gonna take 70 of them. But I am hopeful, you never know right?:) GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!
