Spring 2011 Hopefuls!!

Everyone, Hello,

This thread is created for anyone who is applying for a 2011 Nursing School Program! We can await our fates together. I think that waiting is going to be the hardest part! I am applying to a Community College for an ADN RN program. Applications are due Sept. 20th and we should know by early Novemeber!! My school just told me that they may also consider a math class that I took (with a higher grade) over College Algebra, which would significantly raise my GPA! I am hopeful!! Where is everyone else applying and when will you potentially find out?!

I am new around here but I just applied for the Accelerated BSN program and Florida State. Hopefully I will get in and start in the spring. I had to take the HESI A2 with ALL the possible subjects but think I did fine. Now I wait! Good luck to everyone!

Just an update...

I'm now a Spring 2011 hopeful. I never got rejected from the the school I applied to for the Fall semester. I called and apparently the class is full and so they will be holding my app for the Spring 2011 semester for review. In the meantime, I've also applied to an Accelerated ASN program for the Spring 2011 as well. The good thing is that RN program is 3 semesters long, and I'll be done by the Fall semester. Then I'll bridge to the RN-MSN later.

I rec'd my acceptance letter about 2 weeks ago!!!!

I returned to school this summer after graduating in 2005. Unfortunately, there is no ABSN I could attend so I am going for my ADN at SUSLA.

I think the waiting to begin is way worse than the wait for my letter. Now I have 5 months of anxiety! lol All I think is can I do this? I am 28 with an 18 mos old and my husband is works away 14/14. Guess all I can do is try!

Congrats to everyone who has recieved their letters already!! I am jealous of you! Although, I think that, it may be true--that the wait to start the program may be harder then the acceptance letter wait :)

Count me in! I'm will be applying for Spring 2011 at Walters State in Tn. Already have prereq's and will be finishing remaining gen ed classes this fall. We apply by Oct 1, but won't know until first week of January-I'll be nuts by then, lol. Good luck to all of us!!!

Hey I am applying to TCC in Tallahassee!! Go Noles--Good Luck! I hope that you get in. I have heard its pretty tough to get into that program at FSU! I am excited for you!!

Did you submit your application yet? I submitted mine last night and thought it was going to be some in-depth application but it was just two clicks, my ID number and what term I wanted to apply for. I got all hyped up for nothing. I was expecting questions to answer or something, oh well......Now on to the waiting game.

Yes, I was stunned too! The process was so easy!! I almost felt cheated because I thought I would have to at least give them my HESI Scores, or something. Yes, and so now the waiting game begins :) Hopefully come October/November we will be in--and at least I will know one person in the program! Crossing my fingers though, because I know how tough it is to get in here :o The lady at admissions told me they are accepting 48 students for the Spring. I also asked her if I took both MGF 1101 & MAC1105 which grade would she take to calculate GPA--She said they TRY* to take the highest Grade. So, I am confused as how they TRY* to take one, I figured it was just a policy one or the other, so I am kind of worried about that. Because that makes a pretty big difference, from a 3.5 to a 3.7!! Guess we will seee!! Sooo nervous!:lol2:

Thanks! I took classes at TCC last semester and I am taking a couple there now. I really like TCC, I hope you get in!

Still waiting to hear from school, i may have applied early, the deadline is September 15th, hoping to hear from the around October, November.
