Everyone, Hello,
This thread is created for anyone who is applying for a 2011 Nursing School Program! We can await our fates together. I think that waiting is going to be the hardest part! I am applying to a Community College for an ADN RN program. Applications are due Sept. 20th and we should know by early Novemeber!! My school just told me that they may also consider a math class that I took (with a higher grade) over College Algebra, which would significantly raise my GPA! I am hopeful!! Where is everyone else applying and when will you potentially find out?!
Hi. I'm also a Spring 2011 hopeful. I applied for an associate degree RN program at AZ Western College, and getting ready for the HESI exam to apply for NAU's BA RN program as well.
I have been studying like crazy for the HESI, any suggestions?

I am a transplant from California - moved to Alabama for several reasons so I have applied to the local JC. Wallace Community College has LPN and ADN. I applied for both as a back up. I got into the LPN for fall but chose not to start as I want to dive directly into the program for RN. Found out the first two semesters are the same so why wait so long to reapply? I am hoping to get in for Spring 2011 and join with all of you in the waiting game. Our deadline is Oct. 1 and they state a 4-6 week waiting list. I am hoping for a thick envelope before the holidays as this would be a wonderful present to myself!!!
Good luck to all and let's keep using allnurses.com to stay in support of each other.

Hey everyone! I am also a Spring 2011 hopeful! I'm planning to apply to Sac State's BSN program. They admit students based on GPA, TEAS, & optional criteria. I'm so nervous & anxious even though I haven't applied yet! Apps are available Sept-October & acceptance letters are mailed around November. This is my first choice so hopefully things will work out well. If not, sac city, arc, solano, cabrillo, and napa are my back up schools. Good luck to everyone! Is there anyone else applying for sac states program?
Wow...someone from my old stompin grounds!! I moved to Alabama in December so sometimes just hearing names of places I KNOW is wonderful. I lived in Fairfield, Vacaville and then in Cottonwood (near Redding) I worked for a company based out of Napa....I know your area :-)
Good luck on pursuing your dreams
Hi Everyone!
I submitted my application to UA (Arizona) on September 1st and the latest news is that I got an interview invitation, which is a really good thing. The first time I applied, I did not get an interview invitation. The interview is on Sept 25 and my nervousness is slowly beginning to set in. This is my second opportunity to shine for the Nursing Department (the first being my application) and I really hope it goes well. I have no idea when I'll hear back from them, but I'm hoping it will be sometime around the beginning of October. How long can it really take?? :)
My GPA is 3.75 (the average they accept is 3.6) and my personal statement was awesome this time around. I don't want to get my hopes up only to be taken away, but the thoughts are still there. I keep having dreams of getting into the program and buying my scrubs and stethoscope and working in the hospital. When I wake up, I often times have to remind myself it's not true. But someday it will be! So my fingers (and toes!) are crossed.
Good luck to everyone!!

Major1: I can't believe they are doing that to you guys. That's absurd. Well, kudos for you for sticking with it and not going insane with nerves. I am now thankful that I have heard this quickly from UA. I've been super impatient and nervous the past three weeks, but you win the award for the longest wait.
Hang in there! And keep us updated. We'd love to hear if you get in or not! :)

I am hoping to get into the UH Maui nursing program in the spring!!! We are suppose to find out sometime in late September or early October. Each semester they only accept 60 students and there are well over 200 applicants. I hope I am one of the lucky 60:D At our college they choose who enters the program on a points system. All prerequisits with A's get 4pts and B's 3pts etc. I wish you all luck!
I GOT ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!!!! They actually only picked 40 students for spring!!!!! I'm so excited. First day of class is January 1oth!!!!! Good luck to everyone else

Major1-- I am so sorry that you have applied multiple times, I wish you very Good Luck this time. You are determined and that is wonderful! Please don't give up, I think your preserverence, and determination will make you one outstanding Nurse!! If that school doesn't see your amazing potential, maybe you can look into other local schools, or ones that are near by!! Good Luck to you, I know the wait is AWFUL!
Diddledi-- I agree with you..I hope I get accepted, I think that would make the best Chirstimas/Birthday present ever!! My school just told me they may drag out the 6 week wait to 8 weeks.. Great .. O well.. if I can wait 6 weeks.. whats another 2 weeks.. right??
Well, heres to hoping for the best!
Congrats to everyone who already recieved there letters!! And for those of us still waiting....I hope that is goes quickley!!
