Spring 2011 Hopefuls!!

Everyone, Hello,

This thread is created for anyone who is applying for a 2011 Nursing School Program! We can await our fates together. I think that waiting is going to be the hardest part! I am applying to a Community College for an ADN RN program. Applications are due Sept. 20th and we should know by early Novemeber!! My school just told me that they may also consider a math class that I took (with a higher grade) over College Algebra, which would significantly raise my GPA! I am hopeful!! Where is everyone else applying and when will you potentially find out?!

Good luck to you both! If I don't get into my program I'll be a summer 11 hopeful lol. Its super competitive so I don't have my hopes way too high, but my fingers are crossed and Im praying, and Ill be doing it for both of you also!

I am a Spring '11 hopeful and I applied to FSU aBSN program. The deadline is September 1st and I have to take the Hesi (all sections) :sofahider LOL

I am finishing up chemistry and pathophysiology in the Fall and will take the Hesi sometime in august. Let the waiting begin :)

GO NOLES I have my undergrad from there in another field! Love FSU!! I hear there BSN program is fantastic!! 2 of my friends got in for this Fall! I wish much luck on the HESI I know you will do great!!!

September is right around the corner! I hope you get in!!! I will cross some fingers and toes for you as well!! I know the wait can feel like forever though!!

Our applications are due in September--but we won't find out til 6 weeks after that so, I am looking at early November.. YUCK~ Well at least we can all wait together :)

Thanks Noel. I won't find out till next month and it's suppose to start in Sept. The wait is agonizing. I'll be honest, I get knots in my stomach the closer it gets. :nuke:

I am also a Spring 2011 hopeful. I will have my AOS in medical Assisting in December. I am hoping to be in nursing school by January. I applied to 6 schools (4 CUNY and 2 private). I live in NYC and there are so many people waiting for the same seats so I'm hoping that I have increased my chances by applying to a lot of schools. I have almost all of my pre-requisites except chemistry (which I only need for some schools). I'm not exactly sure what my GPA is but I am on the Dean's list. I am an A/B student. I am so excited. The anticipation is a real killer. I have an appointment to visit one school in August. I can't wait. I'm so confused about the TEAS, ATI and all the other pre-nursing exams. I'm not even sure when I'm suppose to take them. I am currently attending school and working full time and am a mother of 3 so luckily I have a bunch of other things on my mind to distract me from the wait. Good luck to everybody here. At least we have each other.

Hi everyone, I am also applying to the Spring 2011 ADN program. I have a deadline of October 15, and am finishing my last pre-req right now. I still have to take the NLN pre-entrance test in a month and then the waiting will begin. I think i have done just about all I can to get in. I have a 4.0 so far, pre-reqs and gpa, but the competition is so tough that I am not sure it's even enough and it may come down to the NLN score. Good luck to everyone...I hope we all make it!
