Spring 09 Hopefuls

I wanted to start a support thread for all of us that will be applying for the Spring 09 start. My hope is that we keep this thread alive through the process and keep each other encouraged! Nursing School is hard enough to get into!

Where are you applying?

I wrote on this thread a month ago that I got in, well yesterday I found out that I have a conditional acceptance for Spring '09. My school is changing their admission requirements, and starting Spring '09 we will have to pass the TEAS to be admitted into the program.

What's really annoying is that they haven't told us yet, I found out through someone who works in the nursing department.

Apperently we will be notified sometime in November, and they will also let us know when we will have to take the TEAS.

I feel this is not right, when we applied the TEAS was not a requirement, I've been on the waiting list for more than a year and a half and now they're changing everything and they're going to let us know at the very last minute, so if we don't pass the test we can't start in the Spring.

Last semester I was offered a spot in the program only to be called a few days later and been told that they made a mistake and they miscalculated people and that I couldn't start.

This is all very frustrating, I feel a little down right now and sometime I just feel like giving everything up.

Sorry guys, I just needed to vent!!!!

When is your schools deadline? Was Sept 2nd 08

When does the acceptance letters go out? They went out last week Thursday and Friday. I recently just found out that I have been accepted!!!!

What is your plan A, B, C...?

Well, I am currently a single mother of an 8 month old and a five year old. My husband is currently deployed and will not be back until August 09. I am already exhausted from a current pharmacology class that I am taking.

Plan A: is to get one of my family members over here to help me with my kids and sanity.

Plan B: Lots of praying.

Once again congratulations to all accepted students here and wish you the best in Nursing School.

I just found out today that my 1st choice school sent the letters out today..I'm so Nervousssss...please pray for me and wish me luck . I should be getting letter tomorrow or Mondayyyy. I'm so anxioussssssssssssss:uhoh3:
