I wanted to start a support thread for all of us that will be applying for the Spring 09 start. My hope is that we keep this thread alive through the process and keep each other encouraged! Nursing School is hard enough to get into!
Where are you applying?
What is your GPA and/or points for your school of choice?
When is your schools deadline?
When does the acceptance letters go out?
What is your plan A, B, C...?
I don't post on here much..but I could hardly contain myself...I'm in! I was accepted into Eastern Kentucky's ADN program starting January 09. My GPA was 3.5, but I worried my tail off over some bad grades from the mid nineties when I was a student at Louisville. I don't know what else to say other than I'm excited to get through the rest of Chemistry this Fall and start Nursing school in January.
Congrats!

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you LongIsland, let us know as soon as you hear!
I just found this website and I love it! :typing Anyways, I am actually going to start the LVN program at South Texas College in the Spring of 09. Yay so its been a countdown for Jan. to come around.
Welcome merdle!! Spring will sprung soon....do as my advisor said, enjoy and relax during the holidays! It will be a busy spring!
Good News and Bad News....
Bad News- I did not get in to my school of Choice which is the Community College I go Now. As per them, I meet the requirement, but they don't have enough seats available. Also, I'm still working on Microbiology and they give preference to students who finished the class and then applied (that's what the letter said also)
Good News- I had an interview today with Good Samaritan Hospital which is affiliated with my School- I applied as an O.R. Technical Aid and it went super well. After 6 months, they will pay for my school 100% and the best part is that they have certain amount of seats reserved for the employee.
Well, this is my dilemma, I'm not retaking my prerequisites again (NO WAY) I'll stay with my B's- I'm still waiting from other schools..I'm working so hard in Micro and Developmental Psych. to get A. So I'll look like a much better candidate for the Fall :nuke:
My first rejection ladies...now I know how it feels.
Thanks all for your support..I'll keep you posted when I hear from other schools.
