Spring 2016 El Centro College/ NLC ADN

Published

I know that it's VERY early right now to start gearing up for the Spring 2016 admission but I thought I'd start this post early seeing as I have already started taking my final classes, preparing to take the Hesi A2 test and submitting all my other documents for the program. If all goes well, I will be between 30 and 34 points. How many points do you think you'll be at when it's time to apply for the 2016 spring entry? What's the lowest score that they have accepted for previous entries? Are there any single mothers, such as I, who will be applying for the nursing program? Hope to hear more from others who are getting ready to join. Would love to get lots of feedback!!!!!

Thank you so much for replying. So the deadline for spring 2016 is already closed and if I start applying now it will be for fall 2016 at el centro??? Should I go ahead and enroll I was planning to register on Monday I hope is not too early and another question how long does it take for them to accept you for the nursing program??? Thank you for your help

close to 500

500, really? When I asked I was told around 200-300 people per semester. Hundreds of people must have under 30 points if the cut off has been 27 points for past semesters. I guess that doesn't count the ones who decline their acceptance. I was told 60 people per campus too.

The deadline for Spring 2016 was July 15th so yes you have missed the deadline for that period. However, the fall 2016 application period opens next month so I would register for classes now. For Spring 2016, applicants will know if they were accepted within the next week or so. I am not sure for Fall 2016 how long it takes to hear back about acceptance or denial, but the application packet goes into more detail about this. When it comes to doing your nursing prerequisites its never too early...except with your science courses. Those are time-sensitive. I would start NOW with doing your classes. The deadline for Fall 2016 is January 31 so make sure to print out the application packet as it will outline everything you need to do before you apply.

I am not 100% sure of that but that what one woman told me at ECC. I thought 500 seemed liked alot. They do take 60 at El Centro and the other 60 go to Northlake. Total of 120 each semester

Thanks shauntil07 for your help, I will register in school today for fall 2016 and hope everything goes well for you. If I have any more questions I will message you, also I tried searching for el centro blog but couldn't find it.

Anyone heard if letters will go out by Thursday? Or do they mail them ON that date?

The info packet says letters will be mailed by the 15th, but I heard you usually get them a day or two after.

It seems like they always mail them out on that date. But would it kill them to do it a couple days early?? Lol

I very well may lose my mind if I have to wait until November...

I'm hoping that since the deadlines were moved up after 2014( I think) that we'll get letters sooner too, but who knows what they'll decide.

I can't remember the total other than it being several hundred but many get disqualified because they aren't compliant with sentryMD, are missing something from their application, etc. Yes, it is 60 at each campus.
