  1. Yes, I did the background check a few days after I accepted their offer. I am scheduled to go to the hospital on 1/15 for all the HR and immunization stuff. Have you scheduled your appointment yet?
  2. I agree. I'm two weeks from graduating the El Centro program and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It is beyond unorganized. Every semester we fill out a survey as to what is wrong and every semester they continue to do the same thing. I'm not real sure about Mountain View's program, but there is no way it could be any worse than El Centro.
  3. Congratulations!!! I accepted an offer as well!! I have been so busy with school, I haven't really been on here. Did they give you a start date? Mine has a tentative date of Feb 5th.
  4. Thank you so much! I really hope you hear something. Sometimes these departments take longer than expected. Praying for you as well!!
  5. I felt like it went pretty well. Everyone was really nice. However, they said they probably won't make a decision for another couple weeks. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed. Have you heard anything back yet?
  6. The dean was also recently on vacation. That may have something to do with it also.
  7. Will be interviewing for the OR.
  8. I have been very impressed with everyone who works in Temple. They seem like they have a great group of nurses and managers there. My interview isn't until the 25th. Hopefully all goes well.
  9. How did your interview go?
  10. I have an in person interview scheduled for later this month.
  11. They are pretty general. Why you want to be a nurse, what specialty interests you most, talk about a time you had a difficult patient, how you multitask, etc. I think there are 6 questions in all. You can literally re-record it as many times as you want. After you have done it several times, you become a lot less nervous. Don't sweat it, it's not bad.
  12. They may be. I applied to a different specialty, so that may have something to do with it. I know of a person that graduated with her ADN about a year ago and works with one of the Dallas locations in the ED. So it's definitely worth a shot!
  13. I received an email from each location. It's difficult with an ADN, without working at one of the facilities, at least in Dallas. However, I was really impressed with Temple. I went to their New Grad Expo. Hopefully I will get called for an interview next month.
  14. I was turned down for all 3 Dallas locations I applied at. But I did a video interview this week for the Temple location.
  15. I just thought I would start a post for the BSWH's Spring 2018 Residencies. Has anyone heard anything yet? I applied for a few in Dallas and also Temple and Austin. Good luck to everyone in their application process!
