Spring 2016 El Centro College/ NLC ADN

I know that it's VERY early right now to start gearing up for the Spring 2016 admission but I thought I'd start this post early seeing as I have already started taking my final classes, preparing to take the Hesi A2 test and submitting all my other documents for the program. If all goes well, I will be between 30 and 34 points. How many points do you think you'll be at when it's time to apply for the 2016 spring entry? What's the lowest score that they have accepted for previous entries? Are there any single mothers, such as I, who will be applying for the nursing program? Hope to hear more from others who are getting ready to join. Would love to get lots of feedback!!!!!

I was thinking of retaking my HESI Entrance Exam at Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC).

If I take it there and make a grade of 95% or better. Will El Centro, North Lake, and Brookhaven accept it ?

What is your experience taking HESI Exams from TVCC or third-party schools?

Bluefal, are you trying to get in for Fall 2016? And as far as I know, ECC, NLC and BHC will accept HESI from third party schools...as long as your test scores comply with the nursing program scoring system.

bluefal, you have several in the DFW area that offer the HESI. TVCC, TCC (Tarrant), NCTC (North Central). I've seen people go so far as Grayson College which is close to the TX/OK border. Just call the the campus you wish to take it at and find out if you have to be a student in order to take the HESI there. Some campuses you have to be students there in order to take it or if you're not you may pay a higher price for the test, so call and confirm first.

You can take HESI at any school that offers it, just make you you take all the required sections for the school you are applying to :)

Does anyone happen to know the average number of applicants that apply per semester? Just curious how big the competition is. Getting really nervous!!!!!!!!

I wish I knew as well, just as you I am curious to see how many people applied!! I am also very nervous, this will be the longest weekend ever😑!!!

The application window for Spring 2016 for Dallas County is closed. Applicants are waiting on their acceptance/denial letters now. If you would like to apply for Fall 2016, you can go on el centro's nursing website and download the application packet for Spring 2016 (requirements probably won't change for Fall 2016 since they just revised some things in this last packet). There is an application window usually for each application period. Fall 2016 if I am not mistaken is from November 1, 2015 to January 31, 2016. If you are looking to apply for this period, I suggest start taking your prerequisite classes now and look at other requirements such as, immunizations, that you need to complete as well.
