  1. CSTtoRN replied to Mc111901's topic in Ob/Gyn
They do this at my facility and call it a Transitional position. Although, I am going to mother/baby from OR as a transitional nurse but it will not align with one of the residency groups.

I still haven't even though I have always been passionate about OB/GYN nursing haha. I started in ICU, went to OR, and am now hopefully moving to mother/baby soon.
  3. I have been a nurse for almost a year and a half and am looking to change my specialty as well. I have emailed managers of the departments at my facility I am interested in and this has helped tremendously. I met with a manager and it went well so she opened a transition job for me to apply to and I should be interviewing soon. Good luck!
  4. I too have been in the OR since graduating in May 2016 besides a couple of months in ICU. I was a CST for years before finishing nursing school. I am looking to transition to another department as well. I'm interviewing for Mother/Baby soon. I have not experienced L&D since nursing school but I do know that it can be a very stressful environment as well and if the OR is affecting you mentally now that L&D has a high chance of it too. Good luck! I hope you find what you are looking for closer to home!
  5. My affidavit was received May 31 and I got my ATT June 9th. Hopefully yours comes soon!
  6. It has been accurate for everyone that I know that has done it. They did not do it correctly so they caused their own grief about it. It is up to them to try it or not so I would not be responsible for anyone losing money. You do it at your own risk. I used a gift card with no money on it.
  7. You didn't do the trick correctly, you have to enter your card info and submit for it to work. Congrats on passing!
  8. I had 75 questions, and it took less than 2 hours Edited to add: I used UWorld, the NCLEX mastery app, and reviewed the 35-page study guide. Our school made us do a live review, but that was at the end of April, and I tested on June 22.
  9. Did you get your results?
  10. I hope you get good news on your quick results today!
  11. That's how I felt after mine too. I was certain there was no way I passed but I did in 75. I mostly used UWorld as well. I didn't necessarily feel the questions were crazy hard but I felt like the answers made no sense and what I wanted was never there. Good luck, I hope you get a pass soon!
  12. I'm so sorry to hear that! I did UWorld, NCLEX mastery app, and read the 35 page study guide. UWorld was the best thing I used in my opinion and I passed in 75. Good luck!
  13. I agree, that's a great score! My overall was 59% and I passed in 75 questions. Good luck!
  14. That's what I had heard as well but my friend took it on a Monday and received her quick results on a Wednesday and they posted to the board on Friday
  15. I tested on the 22nd and passed with 75 questions. I only had 15 SATA. My friend passed last week in 75 as well and only had about 10. I think UWORLD helped me get a lot better at doing SATA.
