Every so often I'll hear lyrics on songs on the radio that remind me of nursing... Here's a couple of examples I've heard on the radio recently, unfortunately I can't remember who sings either of 'em...:monkeydance:
"I am barely breathing, and I can't find the air..."
"I have become, comfortably numb..."
Anyone got any more?
Hmmm, as I read through the post, everytime I thought of one someone else had already posted it. Unwell by Matchbox Twenty is one of my favorites. But with domestic abuse patients:
Face Down--The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
Do you feel like a man when you push her around?
Do you feel like a man as she falls to the ground?
Macy Gray - Treat Me Like Your Money
Treat Me Like Your Money
Love Me, Need Me, Want Me
Take Me Wherever You Go
Worship Me Your Whole Life
Pray For Me At Night
Treat Me Better Than Anyone You Know
(better Than Anyone You Know)
looooool...nursing, nursing and again nursing in mind think on your clients all the time.
For the AMA patients, and those who have had unfortunate complications that made their hospitalization lengthy.
Daughtry "Home"
I'm staring out into the night,
Trying to hide the pain.
I'm going to the place where love
And feeling good don't ever cost a thing.
And the pain you feel's a different kind of pain.
Well I'm going home,
Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm not running from.
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old,
So I'm going home.
Well I'm going home.
It reminds me of my brother. He was hospitalized for 3 months after a near-fatal motorcycle accident two years ago. It reminds me of his attitute at the time.

That is a beautiful song. I agree, it's the only song that doesn't make death dark and scary. This song embraces death and finding peace after you have left this world.
