I came home from shopping today to find yet another message from a head hunter. I called her back prepared to say "I don't want to travel and I want out of the ER." She told me she is not a travel rep, she deals with permanent placements, and asked me what I want. I told her home health or clinic. Within half an hour she called me back with an appointment for an interview on Wednesday morning with a home health agency who she said "is very excited about your resume". I told her what happened at the hospital and she doesn't understand why I was fired instead of the physician.
I applied at VNA last week but haven't heard from them yet.
I'm really excited about this.

taz - you will find the job that fits you life a fine leather glove
I think this is it, Dale. Everytime I am between jobs I think about home care, so I think that this is where I belong.

with your experience, of course you will get it!!!!!
An ER nurse-turned Home Health nurse said that home care agencies love ER nurses because we've seen it all. I hope that's true.
