I understand that private entities can control what speech is put on their media. But is that a wise idea not to air alternative points of view on huge powerhouses such as Youtube, facebook, Twitter Etc?

I'm thinking specifically of this Plandemic lady. I, personally, have not viewed her video. I'm not interested in her particular point of view. I have never felt the need to investigate every conspiracy theory out there.

I do think there is a lot of paranoia in sothat might be well earned. Social media such as facebook and Youtube wield enormous power and influence over public opinion.

The government has pulled a lot of sneaky tricks on the public over the years. I don't trust them. I also don't trust the Chinese government.

I don't trust large pharmaceutical companies or the mega-corporations. Their lust for money, power and influence is insatiable.

Should we give social media giants, who practically hold monopolies on the public form, the abilities to shut down conspiracy theories? I'll bet there are some true ones out there.

You've destroyed your credibility.

Fact checkers wield zero power, as evidenced by the abundance of garbage readily available and believed by gullible people.

Thanks for being the judge of someone's credibility. You really got me. Could have at least countered the argument, but guess labeling is easier when in denial.

The common cold has been around for millenniums and somehow it mutated the last year into an even deadlier virus? Seems someone doesn't recall their Microbiology studies from nursing school it appears.

More nonsense.

The pandemic is clearly not fake, that doesn't require proof to make your credibility look a bit questionable for having stated it was. A misrepresentation about the common cold has zero relevance to this novel coronavirus.

The fact that you're a nurse and don't know that that the common cold is usually caused by the RNA virus known as coronavirus irks me. No wonder medical errors are the third leading cause of death in the US. Thanks for labeling what is nonsense and sense, though I believe you got it wrong just like your coronavirus claims.

1. Yes, I get to judge the credibility of anyone seeking to influence my opinion and choices. Where did you get the quaint idea that no-one is allowed to judge your credibility? If your credibility is judged to be less than stellar, why discuss your assertions? Like debating flat-earthers - it’s a waste of time and energy.

2. Speaking of credibility, where is It proposed that CV19 is a mutated form of the common cold? Are you making that assumption because both are coronaviruses? Quite a leap, there.

Have you ever heard of the rhinoviruses? The claim that this pandemic is fake is clearly nonsense with nothing to support it. I haven't made any incorrect coronovirus claims.

mmmm, not quite. I see from your postings that you haven’t started nursing school yet. One thing you will learn is how to do research.

“Although many types of viruses can cause a common cold, rhinoviruses are the most common culprit.”

https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/common-cold/symptoms-causes/syc-20351605

“Many different respiratory viruses can cause the common cold, but rhinoviruses are the most common. Rhinoviruses can also trigger asthma attacks and have been linked to sinus and ear infections. Other viruses that can cause colds include respiratory syncytial virus, human parainfluenza viruses, adenovirus, human coronaviruses, and human metapneumovirus.“

The fact that you aren't a nurse but come in here to school those of us who are is interesting. I would love to read your scientific resources as to what is actually going on, if it isn't the coronavirus. Too many of us have seen and aided the ill to be able to entertain this oddly aggressive pollyanna approach that is sweeping the nation right now and I honestly do wonder where the logic is. Can you share your sources with us?

Even doctors say that the pandemic is fake, yet they get silenced by social media.

Cite your sources for this statement.

"Even doctors say that the pandemic is fake"

Of course people judge your credibility when you are trying to make a point. When you pass somebody on the street yelling "the end of the world is coming", you don't start putting your affairs in order, as they lack credibility.

And, yes. You officially have no credibility. At least in this discussion. There may be some areas in which you are, in fact, credible. But, entertaining the notion that this pandemic is fake, pretty much defines you in this discussion.

This isn't a mutated common cold virus. This is an animal coronavirus that jumped species and became infectious from person to person.

It's not even close to the same thing.

Already started earlier this Spring. Thanks for bringing it up anyways. I have majored in Microbiology briefly, so I know what I am talking about and seems your colleague doesn't. Don't need to throw in CDC in here. CDC is influenced by corporate and political interests, so they will be bias against a different view unfortunately.
