i find that a lot of people who post have a lot of great saying attached to there post for example like

"i am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how i react to it." (charles swindoll) if you want to make god laugh, tell him your plans

i find it hard to go through everyones posting to find great saying so thought i start a tread so you can post yours and this way i can have a collection of saying all in one spot .........some of them are really funny, some are deep and make you think, some are sweet ...so please post and share your sayings since some of them are really great to read...........thanks angela

i have a long distance relationship with my boyfriend he is away so i love to write to him and add a little quote or story something to make him laugh or think or smile or just feel thought of so appreciate your contributions to my attempting to getting a collection thanks

For student nurses with hell bent instructors: Learn all you can, follow rules, be on time, be neat, iron your uniform, lay low, leave attitude at home but bring along your instinct, dont gossip, dont make waves, persevere, and get your degree.

For me as nurse:

1) NEVER assume (you know what it does)

2) Expect the Unexpected-nothing is textbook

3) Look it up, Dont memorize-You will make a mistake,

4) Be prepared-there is no substitute for it

5) Ask questions-if it comes to mind it needs to come out of your mouth not wallow around up there in ur noggin at risk of finding ANYTHING that it can for an answer

6) THINK Dont say anything if it isnt Thoughtful Helpful Important Kind Necessary

7) GIVE BLOOD

I don't know if this is a southernism but it is a my Momism

"You would worry Christ off the cross!":confused:when we got to out of controll.

That used to make me wonder how that was possible but now after almost 25 years in nursing I can.

That's along the same lines as my mother's ..."enough to make a preacher swear".

Live life loud

God always answers. Sometimes the answer is yes, sometimes it is no, and sometimes not yet.

I tried that one once on my Dad and was told"taxes aren't due this month and I just talked to God,it's not you day to die,so just do as you're told"

I also have a favorite response that I learned from my Dad. When my children tell me I "Have" to do something for them, I quote my Dad and tell them "All I "Have" to do is pay taxes and die."

I do not know where he got it, but it shuts the kids up right away.

One quote that quickly comes to mind (and often comes to mind) was from one of our instructors:

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

You know you are having a bad day when you find a tampon behind your ear and cannot find your pencil. :lol2:

I can only imagine! :)

"All I "Have" to do is pay taxes and die." QUOTE

THat is a southern thing. I was taught that and "Duct tape saves the world!"
