Pardon the attention grabbing headline, but I have a frivolous question about men's scrubs. I'm a guy (as is obvious from the title), a nursing student, and I work in a local hospital as a clinical tech/nursing assistant/patient care tech, what have you. I've always had the cheapest durable scrubs, but over the last 3 & 1/2 months, I've lost 25lbs, with 10 more to go for my fitness goal, and for the first time, in like forever, I'm looking kinda... well... hot.
I need to change out my entire wardrobe, but I'd also like to look attractive in scrubs. Not just for work, but I volunteer frequently too, and I'm trying to live it up (seriously, never had this going for me before...), and I'd like to be attractive in scrubs as well. What are good brands and styles that provide some added sex appeal while remaining professional?
*FULL DISCLOSURE*
I have an ex that works on a different floor, and she hasn't seen me since our break up, 25lbs heavier. I would like to look great if and when she does.
I don't know what scrubs would enhance your physique. As a woman, I know I am attracted to shoulders(no, not butts, as a nurse they represent something else).Maybe find some that accent your shoulders?
Remember ThatGuys's advice about the pen and the ink.
Please let us know what you decided and how the ex reacted!
I know some scrub brands have been mentioned already but check out Medelita...they make professional-looking scrubs with quality fabrics. I know a lot of male physicians who order scrubs from there (our RN uniforms are ordered via a single vendor due to the required color and embroidery). They are expensive compared to the usual scrubs you see at stores. The colors are limited, however.
You know what, I feel you bro. What's wrong with trying to look good in your scrubs?! The dudes say, "Their only for function" probably look like goofballs.
Check out iguana scrubs. They are great and form fitting but don't come in tall sizes that I have found. If you are over 6 foot you may be out of luck as far as that goes.
Next to that, UA basic scrubs are pretty form fitting around the bicep if you have big arms. That is always nice. Other than that, dickies, sketchers, and carhart.
I'm the opposite of GhostRN. I am too old to be panting after sexy male nurses and I don't care what they wear. When I was younger and single, sure, I secretly lusted, but it never did any 'good'. I'm happy just to have a good working relationship and respect. Eye-candy is fun, but if a co-worker is into his own very awesomeness....it's kind of boring.
