I just need to complain for one second... why do I always get picked to test on my day off?! I have 3 small children, 2 of which I have to get watched now so I can go pee in a cup. The oldest is in pre-school. Ugh, so annoying. Bonus... it's in the teens here in Texas so its freezing balls outside.
Yes, there are places I can go to later this evening but I refuse to pay an additional $20-$30 for a collection fee when I'm already paying $55 to piss.
Sorry, rant over. Have a great day everyone!

I feel you, don't have little kids, but it's damn cold here in Texas. Makes dropping a urine even more uncomfortable. I sweat it out Monday night afraid ice would be all over the roads because I knew I was going to get pulled Tuesday. And of course I was, but luckily no ice.

Yep I don't have kiddos anymore but the Pee Test always seems to arise on the worst possible day. Wednesday's are super busy for me and I have my idiotic Nurse Support meeting but I swear more often than not I gotta pee test on Wednesday. Frustrating. However, as much as I loathe this program I think this is the only part that works. Fear of Pissing hot will keep me from drinking. Nonsensical babblings about higher powers, voodoo and whining nurses in my nit-wit meeting sure will not. In fact, I'm never closer to drinking than right after I leave these mandated events and the only thing that keeps me from doing so is the spectre of the pee test. Hate it. It works

TexasMel, I AM SO WITH YOU.
So, SO over this BS. I hate TPAPN, more than anything. I am pretty bitter about it as well. Seems I get tested on the worst possible days, like when I have a stomach virus and it's coming out both ends..! TMI, sorry.
But you know you're in bad shape when the lab people look at you and tell you how bad you look, as they pour your pee into 2 split specimen cups.
Supposedly I have less than 11 months to go, we will see if that pans out!
I am glad we all have each other to vent to. And, yes, it is cold as balls here in DFW!

The real question...which I never even get a sane response to...is why in the name of science can't we check in the day before? At least people could plan...oh wait that would be logical and far from the scope these programs offer...the science of testing would not be affected at all...oops...sorry again...science? Evidence based? What was I thinking! Money money money money...that's more like it!
You speak of my biggest fear. Having the test when I'm sick. 11 months good luck good luck, you go girl!!

I once had to test during an usually heavy period day. There was SO much blood and a few clots in my pee cup. The lady taking my pee had been doing this for like 30 years and it even made her gag. Achievement unlocked.
Achievement unlocked, I love your sense of humor í ½í¸Š

Lol, and how would that be a random drug test if you had 24 hours to drop a sample??? Let's be honest, not all nurses here are sober and cheating this "system" is not that difficult. It's now 2AM in Houston, this is the time I check mine almost everyday while I empty my bladder. Gives me plenty of time to plan my day.
*****Download the app, it takes 15 seconds to check and I get a screenshot of all my confirmation numbers just in case there's an issue down the road.

This argument makes even less sense...checking in...say the evening or night before would make zero difference in your "random" support of this atrocity...there is in fact almost zero way to fool a test within almost a 72 hour window...do some homework...the only way is time...as in many days between testing...and so you are not alone...I work days and have become like Pavlovs dog as I wake up like a clock at midnight and check...then fall back asleep etc...repeat...explain how being able to say check in at 9 pm etc...the night before would even matter?
