I graduated from a nursing school in the Philippines a year ago, needed to work first to pay the fees for taking the NCLEX-RN. Now that I have my Authorization to test I plan to take the exam late September here in NY. I really need to pass the exam cause I'm really broke now
I'm taking the Kaplan On Demand, Saunders 5th Edition, La charity and Ohman

i can totally relate. I was a hot mess right before my exam date. As long as you come prepared for your exam, you will be fine. How do you study? what materials are you using? make sure you get some rest too. let us know how you did and best wishes!!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!

no problem :) i am kinda like you, i prefer to review alone. study buddies are great when everyone shares the same goal and dedication. you do need to find your own pace. at first, i was a little confused about how am i going to layout my study plan. but then i found out that doing a lot of questions each day worked best for me. so i started doing 50 a day and worked my way up. then by my 6th week, i can easily do 150-200 a day. renal was my weakness for some reason. so i dedicated a couple of days just doing renal problems--that's when i got my review book and studied. again, best wishes! :)

i read all ur post..i like ur study plan..anyway, im using KAPLAN and i finish my qbank but i need to review the rationale..im just exhausted from work, and sometimes i like to study but im so tired and sleepy..thank u for ur reply..
Going for try two in September. I took it in August and shouldn't have....hind sight is 20/20. I was recovering from Hip replacement 5 weeks earlier plus I took a vacation to recuperate..... I'm still have terrible pain issues....I think I felt like I needed to take it because all my classmates were...well I failed...
So, I picked myself up by my boot straps and I've really started to focus on my studying. I'm working my way SLOWLY through the Kaplan book and them I'm going to have Kaplan give me the additional time so I can start working my way through the test questions...
