I graduated from a nursing school in the Philippines a year ago, needed to work first to pay the fees for taking the NCLEX-RN. Now that I have my Authorization to test I plan to take the exam late September here in NY. I really need to pass the exam cause I'm really broke now
I'm taking the Kaplan On Demand, Saunders 5th Edition, La charity and Ohman

I didn't pass my nlcex rn last friday But, I know that I will get it next time. I was wondering if you heard of the Hurst Review Live the one that you go to a seminar thing.. If you all heard it is a good resource and is it worth the money?

Hi to all NCLEX RN takers, im also from the philippines and im proud to say that i am a product of phil. nsg education.. I graduated from the OUR LADY OF FATIMA UNIVERSITY and Im also a license nurse in phil..Now im living here in cali..I took my nclex not straight to RN but LVN luckily I passed.. I used saunders ( I forced to finish this book and I have no regrets coz it helps me lot in exam) kaplan ( i didnt finish this but some are strategies are helpful ) also i use my notes in college ( must prefer ) then also exam cram also..To all filipino nurse taking nclex goodluck and more power i know you can make it coz were filipino we know how study very well and we put god in our study..

I am glad that I found this thread coz I've been wanting to meet people who I can share my thoughts with.. :) Well, this would be my 3rd attempt in taking NCLEX, I graduated 2007, uhm thats like 4 years ago! yes. and still trying to be successful.. I am a mom of a 2 year old child and I tell you here in the states it's not easy being a full time mom and a housewife.. The last time I took Nclex was 2 months ago, I spent 5.5 hrs in the testing center, answered the max number of questions(265) and failed! ugh! I really thought I had it. Oh well. I then actually started taking things easy and hit the books harder, I am using La charity, Saunder's 5th ed. and I am currently enrolled in an online review (HURST).-I can't tell you any reviews about it yet, but so far it's quite good. I am planning to take anytime this Sept. or Oct.

@ jadecn, yes this is room for us so pls dont hesitate to share thoughts just keep posting ok..im also filipino, living here in cali? where you in US if you dont mind? i understand your situation its hard to be full time mother then you need to review for this exam which is very tough coz u need to balance your time with your family and review.. i hope and pray that you will pass this upcoming exam..dont forget to pray not only to pass but guide you during the exam and also guide your mind to understand the question.. goodluck
