  1. @silverdragon, My friend before told me that but i dont know if they still rule today.
  2. @nurserain01, Here in cali it takes to 3-4 weeks before you receive the official result. Yah PVT works coz im i did that and im luckily passed the NCLEX .. goodluck
  3. @faithj, for me its ok to take NCLEX-PN exam bec. it almost the same with the concept of NCLEX RN but its up to you.. At first i dont like to take the NCLEX-PN and I want to go straight to NCLEX RN but for experience coz i dont have any exp. after graduated in nursing school bec. of the problem in internship in phil. But when I decided to challenge the NCLEX PN and start to review then im surprisingly its almost the same with NCLEX RN but just a few diff... but remembered if you going straight to NCLEX RN and you failed the exam you cannot take the NCLEX PN just the rule here..
  4. @mrstajoo, Im sorry if didnt respond quickly coz im busy with my all requirements for applying a job..I read your post that your not RN in our country am heres a problem with that, First before i applying for NCLEX PN exam I thought they dont need to be RN but im suprisingly coz i received a message from the BVNPT ( this is board for LVN ) that they need a license card or registration that your a certified RN in the our country before they release the exam result so sent immediately that requirement, so I advised you call the BVNPT this is the nos: 916 263 7800 and tell your situation before you working the requirements..
  5. LVN is next to RN..there some difference in scope of work regards of that..so if I where you if you want to have a exp. just go first with LVN..you dont need to take a class if you are already a RN in the phil. just what i did..
  6. hi to all.... Im also from the philippines and studied in Our Lady of Fatima University and after I graduated i took right away the NLE even I knew that it doesnt required in NCLEX RN and many of my classmate said that but my prof said its better to take the NLE coz it easy to work with the requirement, less time and save money..so i followed my prof and luckily i passed after that I received my visa here..Im resided now here in CA and im already a LVN then plan to take the RN here..So its better to take the NLE exam now for practicality and exp. in board exam eventhough it had a many difference in the NCLEX exam..The CA BON now required to be a passer in NLE coz after i received my NCLEX PN result they sent me a letter that they need the license card and registration before they released the result..so its better to NLE passer before applying in NCLEX.. and I think all states in USA required the SSN start this year I had a friend before that have a prob. with SSN because the board said they cant release the license card (RN ) without the SSN so thats why...thanks
  7. hi me too im a filipino nurse migrated here in US livin in CA somewhere in san fernando valley.. Im RN in the philipipines i took LVN and im luckily passed the NCLEX PN i thinks you dont need to take CNA just go ahead with LVN if you want training and thats my purpose in getting LVN..just my only advice to you coz LVN is nearly to BSN..Now im planning to take the NCLEX RN this end of the year..godbless
