Semester is than half over- How is everyone doing?

Published

Hi fellow prenursing students! I thought I would check in and see how everyone is doing in their classes the semester. Check in and let us know how your classes are going, what are you loving or hating, what is challenging you or what you are surprised isn't so difficult after all. Bascially- how you're doing!

I'm taking Anatomy and Physiology 2 and Microbiology and Pathology. I was taking Chemistry 1 and ended up dropping it as it was too hard taking three science w/labs at one time when one of those classes is CHEM! I started A/P 2 off bumpy but am back to an A thanks to a 103 on my last lecture exam over cell respiration, metabolism, blood and blood clotting. We're doing our last cat lab Thursday and I'm nervous but confident I will be ready!

Microbiology is the most fun I've ever had in a science class. It's interesting, the labs are a blast and I'm doing AWESOME in it. I'd literally have to stop showing up to lose my A at this point. (Ain't happening!) ;)

Check in!!

Good job!

Keep it up!

I am taking Microbiology and physiology and working.

Everything been awesome. I took my first micro midterm and got an A. Took 2 micro lab quizes, got an 100% on one and I haven't found out about the other one, we just took it.

I took my first physio exam. Everyone that took that class that's in my micro said the exam is the hardest and that even the smartest students get barely a.C. I took it. I thought it was easy. The info just stuck to me really well.

I havey second micro midterm next week.

Sooooo, anyone signed up for summer classes yet? I'm going to take some silly online things (communication and computer information) so at least keep things going. It'll be a nice break (I hope anyways!).

Summer... I am taking another Math class, Psych 200 (developmental) and Nutrition..

Fall: Learning Community.. Biology, Chem and Engl 102.. Fabulous..

NOT advising you to take communication online. I'm taking it now. It's going fine, but too much writing, discussions and stuff like that keeps you busy.

At summer I going to take developmental psyc and statistic.

For spring:

general psychology - getting A. I'm leader of a group wich gives me headache. My group is behind and I cannot make them study. Hate it!!!!

Anatomy - I hope to get A. Got 100% for lab, but final exam (100% cumulative) scares me to death. The class is online except for final exam.

Intercultural communication - getting A. Fun class but I taking it online which is not very fun. Online classes can be very helpful but not in this case. I'm taking everything online because of job and 1-year-old son on my hands

Hmmm....do you really want take russian? I'm russian and I have my first degree in the linguistic from russian university. Not the easiest language I can tell!

Just worry for your GPA

I'm doing very well this semester. I am returning back to school for a new career in nursing. Just finishing the last of my science pre-reqs and then will finish the year off with College Algebra, Statistics and Nutrition Class. I'm also going to take summer months to go over some pathology books that I have bought online from other nursing students finishing school. At least this will give me some familiarity with terms when I start the BSN nursing program in Spring 2012.

Good luck to all and continued success!

This is my second semester. My first semester I had 3 A's and 1 B. This semester has not been as good. When I started off this semester I was lazy from winter break, but since spring break I have picked my paste back up. I did have one set back in Life Span Psy. I had gotten the test dates mixed up and I had not studied the material so I flunked the test. On the up side my instructor will be giving a replacement assignment to drop the lowest test grade. So I now see me pulling an A in that class I need it because it looks like I will be coming out with a C in Eng Comp I. Math an A; Medical Term B( could have had an A but I started out procrastinating). This summer semester I am going into it 100%. I don't want anything less than an A!:monkeydance:

what kind of chem is it? chem 104 is o-chem/biochem hybrid class,

when august hits ill make a chem thread for all those tackling chem, which is apparently hard on everyone!

for me, eh, i like chem. itll be easy

well I live with a bunch of russians who speak russian all the time and they teach me stuff whenever I ask. Plus I heard that russian is sort of similar with the phonetics too :) but I do want to learn because if me and my boyfriend ever visit Ukraine or have kids I will need to know it. And I pick up language pretty easily if I apply myself.

As for Chem I haven't taken that since 10th grade. :/ and I hate math! so we will see about that lol. Its Chemistry for the health sciences.

Hey if I suck at russian then I can always just switch to audit right? haha

I'm making an A in Micro and Art. I'm making a B in Dev psyc. I won't find out until next week how I did on my micro unknown paper.
