Hi fellow prenursing students! I thought I would check in and see how everyone is doing in their classes the semester. Check in and let us know how your classes are going, what are you loving or hating, what is challenging you or what you are surprised isn't so difficult after all. Bascially- how you're doing!
I'm taking Anatomy and Physiology 2 and Microbiology and Pathology. I was taking Chemistry 1 and ended up dropping it as it was too hard taking three science w/labs at one time when one of those classes is CHEM! I started A/P 2 off bumpy but am back to an A thanks to a 103 on my last lecture exam over cell respiration, metabolism, blood and blood clotting. We're doing our last cat lab Thursday and I'm nervous but confident I will be ready!
Microbiology is the most fun I've ever had in a science class. It's interesting, the labs are a blast and I'm doing AWESOME in it. I'd literally have to stop showing up to lose my A at this point. (Ain't happening!)
I am doing great in my other classes, but extremely horrible in Biology, it's my first science class. I am studying my butt off and I still have a low C. The people around me have all dropped the class, how am I gonna make it in nursing school if I can't even pass biology. Boo hoo
My first bio class (General Biology) I struggled too! It was very difficult, but as you take more classes it gets better and things start making more sense. My biology grades have been like this-
I got a 90.5 out of 90!!!! Awesome eh? It's suppose to be out of 100 but there's 10 points extra credit so you take your raw score out of 90.
I am so thrilled becaise only 10 people, including me, out of a class of 120 got bonifide As. So even if you take my score 90.5 out.of 100 is still an A.
Here, an A is 88%-100%, B is 78%-87% etc...
I am so happy! Because according to him, this.is the hardest test he makes, so it o ly gets easier from here on out
I am on my last class and waiting to hear from nursing school. I'm taking A&P II. I have a really strong A, studying like crazy, but I'm getting kinda tired of the prerequisites and co-requisites--time to start the nursing classes already!!!!

amen to that! Lol. Gosh I was just explaining to my grandma that even tho I'm done with pre reqs in dec, I apply in Jan and have to wait to start til fall
( if I get accepted)
It's like gosh ill be done in almost 6 months. What do I do with the rest of my time?
I guess work to save money, cause once I get that acceptance letter, I'm quitting!

I am doing a happy dance because I got an 100% on my O Chem midterm and I find out in a month whether or not I have been accepted into a nursing program. YIPEEE. Hopefully I will have good news to report (fingers crossed)
I'm doing fine in my class; I have dosage calculations this semester & so far I have a B in the class. Our teacher is a little old fashion but like they say some time you have to mix a little old school with new school to get a better understanding of things. Three more weeks until final exam & summer vacations, but I don't know why I'm getting so happy I have class this summer LOL. Good Luck to everyone. :yelclap:

I got my letter in Match informing me that I've been accepted into the nursing program for the fall of 2011 at my school! I am finishing my prerequisites, and am taking microbiology, humanities 212, developmental psychology, and an English course. I am making an A in each of these classes, and I can't wait until August comes around, and I can begin nursing school.
