St. Kates Pre-Nursing, need help!
I am a nursing student at the U of MN and their nursing program is competitive too. Over 500 apply and 100 get in. The average gpa was 3.7 - If St Kate's is anything like the U, then I wouldn't waste my time applying unless St.Kate's look at other things...like previous medical background, volunteer experiences. However, I think you should apply to both schools, so you won't regret it later. If you don't get in then maybe retake some courses and apply again, I think a bachelors degree is better than an AS in your situation since both routes takes the same amount of time. Also, why not apply to the U? (it's a three year program though - but I think you can get in easily with your background) GOOD LUCK!!!

I did it! A&P I & II in the same semester!!
I will be accepted into a nursing program in the fall and there is two classes; Anatomy and the other Physiology...So is that like A&P 1 & 2 broken down into two separate classes for one semester only? Has anyone took A&P like this before?

Better Option: Pregnant in nursing school/after
Hi all, I was wondering is it better to become pregnant during my last year in nursing school and deliver after I graduate. Or should I wait until I am finish with nursing school and then try to get pregnant. I heard that people won't hired you if your pregnant since your a new nurse and all. Also, what happens during your last year of nursing school? More clinicals, would being pregnant interfere with this. Is it better to be pregnant during nursing school or pregnant and trying to get a job as a new nurse. I already have a son, he would be 5 by the time I graduate nursing school. I don't want the gap to be so far apart. I will also be getting my BSN and plan to go onto graduate school after 2 years of experience and I definitely don't want a new born by that time. Thanks

teen pregnancy
Hi, I went to a teen pregnancy school and we had a few public health nurses come to our school and also to our homes to give us info and check how we were doing. Those nurses really helped me, I usually spend about 10 minutes at my doctors at check up so i was able to ask these nurses a lot of questions and such.

Scared I won't get in
If your gpa is low then work on other qualities and make them look good like volunteer/cna experience or if there is a reason why your gpa got low simply state it and they will understand. Good luck!

I am doing great in my other classes, but extremely horrible in Biology, it's my first science class. I am studying my butt off and I still have a low C. The people around me have all dropped the class, how am I gonna make it in nursing school if I can't even pass biology. Boo hoo
