Alright, it's laundry time in my house and all of my scrubs are gathered together. I'm realizing that I have at least 4 butterfly scrub tops and barely any plain solid tops. I'm a bubbly person and love it when my scrubs bring a smile to a patient's face (I'm in psych, so that's not always easy) and I was just wondering about what everyone else wears. Sometimes when I'm down to the last pair of scrubs, I'll wear a set of hospital issued scrubs, but I think it can sometimes remind patients that I'm a person too, not just a medication dispenser with a set of questions to ask and notes to chart.
Any other birds of a feather out there?
I wear crew socks, never "ankle" ones. Perfectly clean white nursing shoes. The tackiest thing I see nurses wear is thong underwear showing above their pants, and bare ankles.
I absolutely agree that we should look professional. But bare ankles...? What is this, the Victorian Era? lol
I actually think tall socks on women are tacky. Ankle socks for me, please!
I'm about half-and-half as far as prints and solids go. My prints are pretty much all paisley or florals and they're the nice kind, IMO-- the kind that Barco makes (with the embroidery and interesting necklines and tie backs)-- not the oversized, outdated print tops you see in most catalogues. When I wear solids, the top and bottom are usually a different color, such as navy and bright green (looks better than it sounds) or black and grey. Then I can change it up sometimes and don't have any hassle if half of a matching set gets left behind in the hamper. And i wear ankle socks- solid colors for my print tops and stripes or some other kind of pattern for my solids.
I don't care how long your socks are...just as long as you are wearing them.
That is a huge peeve of mine.
Had a coworker who would wear clogs and no socks. I think that's gross, but hey, who am I?
I like my scrubs fitted. I'm not trying to be a fashion plate, but I don't feel good wearing boxy scrubs. I think they look sloppy... or they look sloppy on me.
I prefer solids, in pretty muted colors (no pastels or neons for me). Navy, gray, red, dark purple, dark khaki. I wear most with black or navy pants. I also have a set that's chocolate brown, and a pair of darker gray pants. If I wear patterns, I prefer plaids: I have one that's white with a red/navy/dk green plaid pattern. Another plaid is black, shades of gray, with a little pink. One of my favorite tops is a small black-and-white checkered pattern.
I also don't like white shoes....I have no idea why. I wear black shoes and socks with black pants, and navy shoes and socks with navy pants. I keep it very simple.

I love koi scrubs and usually am wearing a set. I have the same top in 2 colors which have colorful sequins sewn onto them here and there. When I wear these, not a day goes by that someone doesn't mention how cool and unique my scrubs are. My other koi sets are more plain but those are my favorite.
