Published

Hello, I wanted to start this thread for the Scripps Healthcare new graduate nurse position. The program was suppose to start August 12th 2011 from what I was told. Just wanted to start getting familiar with all of the people that applied and hopefully get some useful information going in this thread!:)

Specializes in ER.

Oh ok. Thanks AZWildcatRN. I believe I also applied to Cardiac and PCU. LizardRN this is my first RN interview too. I'm so excited and nervous as well! Did the email say if you got an interview for all three departments or do we find that out when we get there?

congrats guys! =)

Congrats to both of you, keep us informed. Are you both new graduates?

I also have an interview on Monday at 10:30. Three of my classmates have interviews on Monday as well but at 8 and 9. I can't even remember which departments I selected but I think one was PCU....

For those of you invited for an interview, do you guys have an RN license yet? I applied early and have not taken the NCLEX and just wonder if that is the reason that I have not heard from Scripps.

Would appreciate if you can respond.

Haiyen- I did not have my license when I applied. I'm actually taking the NCLEX on Thursday so I better not blow it!

For those who have gone through the Scripps interview process before? Any advice? I picture a huge room with all of the interviewees in one room being called one by one while we sweat bullets waiting for our turn! Is it a panel interview??? Even worse!! Freaking out!!!

From what I heard from a friend of mine... You sit in a large room with everyone. They call you to the front of the room for a panel interview. Depending on where you sit you can hear the interviews being conducted in the front of the room. Not the most relaxed atmosphere I guess... Good luck to all of you.

When I did my interview last week, all the applicants were told to wait in the lobby. About 8-10 applicants were called into the room where the interviews were conducted. It was held in a large auditorium room with tables spread out from each other. Each table represented one different department. Each department had only 2 people max that did the interview (usually the manager and assistant manager/leads). It was actually a laid back environment. Because of the fact that there were about ten interviews going on at one time, you could imagine how loud it got in there... There was no way you could hear what the other people were saying because you get caught up in your own interview.

By the way, what school did everyone go to???

Thanks for the clarification

I did not have my license when I applied, however, I passed the boards last week and have my license now. I went to the University of Oklahoma's Accelerated BSN program here in SD. How do we know which department we are interviewing with? We just have to guess that it is one of our top three choices that we listed?
