SCRIPPS New Graduate Nurse Program August 2011

Hello, I wanted to start this thread for the Scripps Healthcare new graduate nurse position. The program was suppose to start August 12th 2011 from what I was told. Just wanted to start getting familiar with all of the people that applied and hopefully get some useful information going in this thread!:)

Sorry for the delay everyone...I was super exhausted when I got home last night!

Toni, the Talent Manager, informed us there were over 1000 applicants. 46 of the those applicants are internal.

Number of positions? ...40!!!!

I'm assuming 3 people did not show up because they were calling their names out after the check-in process.

I was also told that if they had slots left over, then they would start the interview process with externals on JUNE 20th. So keep your eyes peeled for an email in the next week or so.

Thanks for the update, doesn't sound too promising, at least for the rest of us. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope things go well for you too. What department were you working in as an internal employee and was it an externship?

Has anyone heard anything? It's already June 11th and if they're going to start external interviews on June 20th then that's cutting it pretty close. Jeeeeez. Although last time they notified me of my interview only 2 days before....hmmmm.

I also just got an email invite for the interview on Monday. What time is yours? Mine is 10:30am. So excited...scared....anxious!!!

Mine is Monday at 1030 as well! I put Trauma #1 but I cant remember the others...

Does anyone know if the interview questions are generic or department specific?

Thanks AZWildCatRN!! I think I picked Tele, PCU, MedSurg? Can't remember for sure. This will be my first RN interview & I'm super nervous! Good luck to everyone!!!

Hmmm, I think the questions are department specific but when I interviewed for their last program I only received one interview and that was for the medical acute unit.
