Hello, I wanted to start this thread for the Scripps Healthcare new graduate nurse position. The program was suppose to start August 12th 2011 from what I was told. Just wanted to start getting familiar with all of the people that applied and hopefully get some useful information going in this thread!:)
CMEle86..that's funny!! Hopefully we'll get lucky and get one of them! I wonder how many people applied to this program, I'm surprised there aren't more people replying to this thread..soo maybe that means there's not that many people? haha Positive thinking! Hopefully we'll hear something soon, good luck! :)

As far as I know, only 44 other internal applicants applied. (I just simply hit the "Reply All. Button on the email from the recruiter:lol2:). A few of my classmates who also work for Scripps didn't even know that there was a recent New Grad posting...not to be mean, but yay for us!! I love my classmates, but that means less competition!!
A New Grad on my unit at Green told me that there were more Internal Applicants from the last round.
I also applied on the first day for the same hospitals and PCU, Medical Acute, and especially Oncology. I am presently working at a hospital in Riverside, for the past 5 months, as an RN on the oncology floor (graduated last year). Living in San Diego county, however, the commute and gas is killing me so need to get closer to home.
I spoke with a recruiter the other day from Scripps and she told me there were around 1,000 applicants for about 40 spots between all of the Scripps locations. She didn't specify the numbers each department would be hiring, but she did say they are going through internal first, then moving on to external. So I'm hoping all of you internals don't take them all haha. Good luck
I went online today with live chat at Scripps and here is some infor the nurse recruiter shared. I think we knew most of it. They are still reviewing applications, expect interviews to be around mid June. They like to give a week or two notice for interviews but it doesn't always work that way. They interview about 100 a day for a couple of days in a row. You can have up to 4 interviews a day if more than one unit is interested but it will all be in one day ( helps with people flying in for interviews.) Anyone with a year or less since they graduated is considered first (in other words graduates from last year 2010 and this year) She said they haven't decided yet how to notify people that they got an interview, so it could be email or by phone ( now you have two things to check ).
Hope that helps. I was really surprised there were only 4 people in the chat room with us today.
Hi, everybody! I applied to last program, got interview, than rejected. So hopefully better luck this time! I got my RN license on January, but this job hunt has been killing my optimism a lot! I didn't hear anything yet from the recruiters, so fingers crossed, that it doesn't mean bad news.
Good luck everyone :)
Just thought I'd let you know they are starting interviews for Internal Applicants on June 6th. From what I understand from the email, the event will be one day, from 14:00-18:00. I was told I will be having 3 interview that day (probably with the departments I chose). Let's hope it goes smoothly! *crosses fingers*. I'm known for having answers that are completely irrelevant to the question, kinda like I'm on the Miss America pageant or something,
Hey, good luck on your interviews tomorrow. Be sure to leave some of those positions for the rest of us New Grads. With three interviews scheduled it sounds pretty positive for you, just be yourself. I'm hoping they'll let the rest of us know about interviews after they see if any positions are left.

Thank you! Interview is in less than 2 hours! I'm so nervous!! I worked NOC last night, so I'm a bit tired. I'll let everyone know how it went as soon as I get home tonight =)
