Oh and I walked into a room full of a whole bunch of people. to the right were all the tables where we sat and to the left were round tables where people were being interviewed at. i say it to you guys ahead of time so that you dont get intimated cause i was. i hated seeing how much competition i had! it was nerve wracking! SO DONT GET NERVOUS AND BE READY FOR IT!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!

CONGRATS TO ALL OF YOU! When i was interviewed by them they didnt ask department specific questions, just general questions about your work ethics, etc. I think it's safe to say that if the rest of us havent been emailed then were out of the running. CONGRATS GUYS!!!

Hey guys! Has anyone heard anything? It's already June 11th and if they're going to start external interviews on June 20th then that's cutting it pretty close. Jeeeeez. Although last time they notified me of my interview only 2 days before....hmmmm.

Hey guys! I was surprised this position was even posted. I didn't think they would post a new grad residency program after denying a ton of people (myself being one of them) from the previous new grad program just a few weeks ago. Did anyone else also interview for their last new grad program? I'm just so baffled!!! Either way I think I was at the right place at the right time cause I just so happened to check the website a few days ago, I saw it, was shocked, applied, and then the next day the position was gone. It was so rushed I don't even remember what I applied to! I think it was La Jolla, Green, and...I forget the other one lol. Good luck to all of you!!!! =)

Hey there SDN9999! Just wanted to say DON'T GIVE UP!!!! Keep your head up. You will get this!!! Ive applied to over 30 positions it feels like and I am still applying and hopeful. Yea it stinks to get rejected, but we will get this! I know it!!! Don't know when but it'll happen!

Hi all! this thread is so quiet compared to the Scripps and Sharp one lol. maybe b/c it's a children's hospital? anyhow! Did anyones app status change? The status for one of the positions I applied to changed to "your application has been reviewed and is currently being considered to determine if you are one of the most qualified applicants" VS what the other two still say "thank you for your interest in Rady Children's. Your application has been received and is currently under review". I guess they both sound like the same thing LOL

ugh so lucky you got an interview!!!! how was it?? i take comfort in the fact that mine still say that theyre under review lol. pathetic! my passion is neonatal/peds too. i would love to work at Radys. and I have a BSN! pick me pick me! lol I hope your interview went well! i hope you get it!!!!!!

Thanks for starting this thread! I too applied for all of the positions. It's hard to tell what they're looking for besides getting hired by who you know, which sucks because it makes all of the effort you put into nursing school go down the drain. I have a BSN, med-surg RN experience, CPR/ACLS, magna cum laude, and I am bilingual--but I too got denied from Scripps. I also hope it's not mostly internal applicants because they shouldn't have even posted it on the web in the first place if that's the case. I would love to work in the NICU or Hem/Onc. I had my practicum in the NICU and really enjoyed it. I also wrote an undergraduate thesis on bottle feeding preterm babies. If I don't get called for interview I really dunno what else I could possibly do! I feel like I have everything they should be looking for! Well, besides knowing someone that works there. Anyway, congrats to those who have gotten interviews! And everyone else, keep your head up! =)

Hi all! I too applied to the Sharp New Grad program. I had actually applied to the one back in October and never got a response from them. I think they let way too many people apply. There should be a limit. What's the point of allowing 1800+ people apply if there are only 30 positions? You know what I mean? It's more work for them and more stress for us. I don't live in California so I hope that doesn't knock me down. I don't even know what they are looking for anymore, I just recently was denied from Scripps and I have my BSN, RN experience, ACLS/BLS, CA license, bilingual, and 3.8 GPA. I only say that so that people that don't have a BSN don't get discouraged cause hey, I have one and they still rejected me!!!! LOL!!! I just want to let you guys know that with time, something will come, just keep your heads up. I know it's easier said than done, but keep your head up even after every rejection. Trust me, I have a ton of rejection emails! I'm still trucking. And as for what units I applied for, I can't even remember! I hate how you can't go back and see what you specifically applied for.

I don't think it's fair to jump to conclusions and scare everyone that is patiently waiting for an answer. Everyone keep your head up and don't lose hope! I received an email yesterday also saying they were still in the process of notifying people. Tomorrow is another day. =) Happy Monday everyone.
