SCRIPPS New Graduate Nurse Program August 2011

Hello, I wanted to start this thread for the Scripps Healthcare new graduate nurse position. The program was suppose to start August 12th 2011 from what I was told. Just wanted to start getting familiar with all of the people that applied and hopefully get some useful information going in this thread!:)

Which is the department you think they are interviewing for? I know I applied to med surg/oncology and IMU and haven't heard anything yet...giving up hope quickly. I also have my BSN but from CSUSM with two externships in oncology.

I'm not sure which department the interview is for. I applied to Medical Acute, Oncology, and the PCU. Your two oncology externships would be a great advantage for you, hopefully you'll hear something soon..hang in there!

I wish...I did my externships at Tri city Hospital in Vista/Oceanside. There were 6 of us from CSUSM there and we were "guaranteed" new grad positions when we graduated last May. Last minute, however, they decided only to take one of us and went for the oldest person since she was married with kids and their reasoning was it would be more difficult for her to relocate.

I was so incredibly nervous too & think I fumbled through a few questions I interviewed for the cardiac unit....& u?

I fumbled as well ;o) I interviewed for Trauma at Scripps Mercy...I hope we hear back soon. Was your long or quick? I am SOOOOO ANXIOUS!! Where did you go to Nursing School? Have you taken NCLEX?

To be honest, I have NO idea how long it was. I was so incredibly nervous that I probably rambled! I'm super duper anxious too. I went to Kaplan & passed NCLEX last week. How about you? Scripps Mercy Trauma sounds awesome...good luck!! Let me know if you hear anything & I will do the same. I'm just going to try & forget about it til the 30th....lol yea right!! Who am I kidding?????
