SCRIPPS New Graduate Nurse Program August 2011

Hello, I wanted to start this thread for the Scripps Healthcare new graduate nurse position. The program was suppose to start August 12th 2011 from what I was told. Just wanted to start getting familiar with all of the people that applied and hopefully get some useful information going in this thread!:)

Wow, that's GREAT news ;o) Congrats!!!! I did Kaplan too...I did the online one and didn't really find the online classes too helpful but I like the modules, practice tests and qbank. I'm just going over practice questions everyday and also using ATI, which we used in school. Do you think NCLEX was similar to the Kaplan questions? SO NERVOUS! ;o) I will def keep you posted and would love to hear updates from you as well!! I think I'll just forget about it until the 30th too!! haha ;o) Good luck!!

I meant I went to Kaplan College..lol, but I also used Kaplan online to study for the NCLEX and found it really helpful. The NCLEX format is identical to Kaplan online so you should have no problem. I did all of the qbanks, some of the trainers and reviewed content from the Saunders books. If you are studying everyday, I am sure you will be fine! BTW, where did you go to school at?

Hi all, I also interviewed on Monday (with the DOU at Mercy). I was incredibly nervous, too! I bet they get that a lot though especially with the way the interview room is set up. Wondering...did anyone get any information about when we should expect to hear back?

I know me too!! The wait it killing me! I wonder how many internals vs externals they will choose to hire?:uhoh3:

I think the most important thing is if you impressed the interviewer regardless of internal vs external. Well, that is what i'm telling myself anyway :)

According to the nurse recruiter/ facilitator, there were about 125 external applicants and that each manager or unit were assigned about 8 applicants to interview for the day. I'm not sure how many they will be hiring per unit but I think we're technically competing against those candidates that interviewed for the same unit...
